The band was great, but the music was not about praising and worshiping Jesus. The message was not about the Gospel and Good News, which is the revelation of Jesus Christ our savior. There were references to "god" and a greater power- but not the Power of the Almighty who Loves us personally. This is not a place to find a Savior, a God who can change your life and your eternity. It might be welcoming and friendly, but it does not present Biblical Truth, and the Saving Grace of God. Beware.

This is a place that helps you heal, uses the bible to share insight on modern challenges and goes above and beyond to help the community. The focus is on Christ and serving others. All who walk through the door will be loved for who they are and not how much they donate. The worship band is extremely talented. The Christmas and Easter services are worthy of being on television every year and there are many events throughout the year that are free for families. Professional nursery and services for the little ones, youth ministry for the older ones. Skip the long wait at the local restaurants for a Sunday morning meal because they have a coffee/breakfast bar that has great food and coffee with some healthy options at very affordable prices. They do oil changes for FREE to anyone who needs one on the last Saturday of every month. Finding the right church is a very personal opinion. Wars have been started over religion since the beginning of time. This church has PHD pastors who have studied at major, accredited universities. They are doing the best that they know how to and can. If your beliefs line up with their message, you have found a welcoming home. If they don't, they will wish you peace on your journey. They don't pass judgement and they don't pass an offering plate.

After my son's third year in a row attending Vacation Bible School at First Sarasota this passed week, I felt compelled to share about my family's experience at this wonderful church. From the moment you step foot on the campus of First Sarasota and their corresponding VBS children's camp, volunteers are there to greet you with huge smiles on their faces. There is a security guard for added peace of mind walking the premises as well as a designated door opener who checks to ensure that you are a parent who is supposed to be there picking up a child. I love both of these aspects - it is obvious that First Sarasota is dedicated to keeping our kids safe. The VBS itself is run so efficiently. From the initial registration, to the check-in process, to the daily drop off and pickup - everything is organized and there are dedicated teams for each step of the process. It is so evident that so much preparation goes into the camp. The children are divided by age, and each room is elaborately decorated every year to bring the theme of the week to life. I wish I would have taken more pictures, because truly they did such a great job at bringing this year's theme of "destination dig" to life! Above all, the volunteers are what make this place so wonderful. Every person we encountered was kind, ready to help and serve in any way, and clearly passionate about children. I am so grateful for all of the people that have poured into my son the last three years. As parents in 2023, it is not an easy feat to find people that we can trust with our kids. However, my husband and I have always had full confidence in the programs and the people of First Sarasota. We love you, First Sarasota!

We decided on Unity because it had a great indoor chapel and adjoining hall for our reception. We married in July and the temperature inside was perfect in both locations, and dry since it rained that day. Our wedding was amazing. Unity is set in a forest setting with large windows and a chapel feel. The hall has been redone a week before we were married, and had great tile floors and a spacious kitchen. The staff is friendly and accommodating but I recommend that you cater and use your own sound person as we did for a wedding because they are not really equipped for it. My son is in the restaurant business and is a local DJ so he handled the music and food. You can't ask for a better facility though and the price charged is REALLY reasonable compared to other venues in Sarasota. We had a great wedding day and I highly recommend this venue for a wedding.

Please beware before booking your most special day at this facility. They double booked us for both the rehearsal dinner (we got shoved out but another group!) They double booked us for our event. After we had decorated they allowed another group to come in and hold a memorial service!!! They promised us a professional sound guy. He was a "fill in" for someone else and made so many mistakes we could have cried. He refused the volume we requested for our songs and wouldn't tell us why. I could go on and on! Please don't allow your wedding day to be ruined!!
