The worst experience for young children with any type of disability like SPD ADHD. Left my son all day in poop filled pants because he was afraid to tell staff. We took classes over a year and thought camp would be great since he knew the staff and they knew about his disability. WRONG....they could care less that he had special learning needs. They sat him in a corner all day by himself and threatened cops when he had a SPD moment. They didn't want to work ywith me or adjust their learning to help a student they've had for over a year. Took a months worth of money up front knowing this then left it up in the air. If your child has any type of developmental delay like spd of adhd do not bring your kid here They are awful and have no clue. The camp is a joke. They sit 30 kids on floor to watch cartoons with bunch of high-school kids with no educational training. Then put then on their tablets for hours at a time. read more

We have been here almost a year with our son and absolutely love it. The instructors are kind, informative, and do such good work there. I have not encountered a single person who wasn't just truly amazing at what they do. My son loves going to karate and looks forward to it. We are there 3-4 days a week! We started with a promotion for 2 weeks of classes for our 3 and a half year old son. We signed up for 6 months of classes by the second or third time attending. Brooklyn is the most kind, patient, fun, and talented instructor! It is mind-blowing that all she has to say is "Attention!" And she gets 10 three/four year olds to stand still and pay attention! :) Our son begs all week long to go to class. He has learned so much discipline, confidence and respect just in the past 30 days. He says yes ma'am and yes sir and even teaches us about respect! We are so grateful to have found Ancient Ways. I spent three years training at Ancient Ways (I only left because my S.O. had to move to Orlando for his career). I was part of the Guardians (a group that learns how to teach and can go to as many classes as they want). I sometimes spent 8+ hours a day there, and even more when I was a summer camp counselor. The child programs (after school, classes, summer camp, etc) are so much fun! I loved teaching the kids. They always had a blast. The atmosphere is so welcoming. Master Brown always has a kind demeanor to anyone who walks through that door. They have an outlook that no matter who you are or what your capabilities are, you can learn martial arts. While I was there, we had students ranging from 3 years old to their 70's. We had all sorts of athletic levels from people who were extremely fit to wanting to lose 100+ pounds to people in wheelchairs. They accept everyone, work around what you can and cannot do and you truly feel like you are part of something great. I have friends from my time there who feel like family. I would recommend this dojo to anyone who wants to learn martial arts, transferring from a different town, or wants to get back into it after years of not training. Ancient Ways gave me a discipline and outlook on life that has stayed with me almost a decade later. I'm not going into details of what I was dealing with when I started, but Ancient Ways literally saved me. I am a better person from my time there, as I know many others are, as well. My wife is taking the morning adult classes. Very good instructions. They take their time to make sure you know what you are being taught. Nice bright open are. Viewing area for parents spouses and friends. No need to buy your new belts when you advance as they are included unlike some schools. They have no problem with videos being taken to help students see it later as a training tool. I would recommend this school for children and adults. read more
