I am sitting temple during Rosh Hashanah service and writing this text to my rabbi after listening to his sermon. "Your sermons are so spot on they almost make me want to stand up in the middle of them and shout "damn right, man!" This year was the best of them, you captured the esoteric crisis I and others have with religion being form over substance and not relating to the need to find a source for "nutz and bolts" guidance on the path to enlightenment or even in stemming the tide of frustration experienced by us in a world where accountability for ones actions becomes more and more scarce. its kinda weird reviewin a church but somebodys gotta do it so why not me. i went to the 745 mass…read morethis past sunday & it wasnt too crowded at all. the church itself is pretty inside, a typical catholic church. ive always driven past it & said i wanna go to a service eventually cuz it looks so castle-like from the outside. i had a hard time understanding the pastor cuz he had a strong accent. (i believe hes from kenya) im use to accents but his is really strong & i couldnt understand a lot of his sermon. he seems like a nice guy cuz he talked to me after the service was over but its unfortunate cuz i really wanted to hear the word & learn from whatever lesson he had for us but i just couldnt understand him & follow along.
