I studied abroad in Alicante and John Mulligans was THE place to go. On weekends the party starts…read morearound 2:30 am and does not stop till sunrise. The venue has three floors with a DJ and the main bar on the first, a pool table and bathrooms on the second, and a large dance floor, bar, and stage on the third floor. During the week they throw themed parties and hold events, such as a weekly beer pong tournament. While you probably did not go to Spain to play beer pong, the tournament is incredibly popular and a great chance to meet locals and other studying abroad students from around the world. While the place is not always the cleanest (especially on weekend nights) the prices are extremely reasonable. The staff is a mix of locals and foreigners who are very friendly and make you feel like a regular. It's a great spot, check it out!

The drinks are cold, the food is fresh and tasty, and the service is stellar. Among my favorites are the Strongbow and Foster's cañitas and bocadillo The Place. The patatas bravas are also quite tasty (keeping in mind that the "potatoes" are in fact chips), as is the caesar salad. Highly recommended!

The most disgusting & vile food I have ever tasted…read more The service wasn't much better, I understand it is a restaurant in an airport but really regretted not choosing Burger King and I am more a McDinalds person when it comes to fast food. I flew from Alicante on Friday January 4th 2019 When we sat down at a table I found a travel wallet with 2 passports and boarding passes so I brought it up to the bar after asking around if anyone owned them. The server was extremely rude, I explained I had found them on the floor at the table and she was frustrated at me!! I guess she just didn't want to deal. I ordered 2 "Gourmet Burgers" they were two very thin burgers ( using that description loosely) completely tasteless and grayish in color. I took a few bites and couldn't eat anymore and I was starving. The BBQ sauce served in a small container with the burger looked like it had been poured out days prior it was solid. Avoid this place unless you want to feel unwell.
