They are currently restoring a Phantom II to flight. This is the only privately owned Phantom in the USA (Collings Foundation leases their from the US Govt). Its approx 95% done. Theirs is the 11th one produced and is also considered an F4H-1 Phantom II. In addition they have a OH-58 Kiowa that is flyable and a Desert Storm Veteran and a UH-1B Huey that saw time in Vietnam. They also do restorations and have to other static helicopters. Suggestion is to call ahead but they are normally open during the week. If your a Phantom Phan or love Hueys this is a must visit if your in the Temecula area.

I came with a 7 year old and a 3 year old and while it was great for the 7 year old, it was a little beyond the 3 year old, although she still enjoyed looking (and touching!). Wings and rotors is a non profit so that means no admittance fee, but there is a donation area to help with costs associated with running the museum. They also run stem workshops for kids 7 to 14. Definitely give wings and rotors a visit if you and/or your kids like planes and helicopters.

We had a 2.5 year old all the way to a 13 year old and they were very entertained and engaged with the activities offered. I don't think this specific exhibit is offered year-round. If it's not, the rest of the museum would be slightly too "old" for the kiddos, looking at the fossils. Overall, very clean, well displayed information and fun.

She was quite happy about finally seeing the museum! Located on a school campus, the museum sits back a ways from the parking lot across a courtyard from the school building. Parking and walkways are shared between visitors and students alike. The museum is bright and airy, having a nice flow from room to room, through timeline to timeline. The displays are beautifully constructed with thorough yet engaging text to explain each finding or display. The exhibit rooms are large enough to give that gasp that comes with being in the presence of creatures of such size, but cozy enough to linger and read without being overwhelmed. There are hands-on activities for youths and those young at heart, a children's play and explore area, and a theater/presentation area. We really enjoyed the presentation that brought the area to "life" through a realistic, animated depiction. We sat on molded rocks, which was fun. When students came, they sat on the floor. It was cool and quiet. The bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. There's a small gift shop with some eye catching toys, jewelry, snacks, etc.

We probably should have went when they first opened to beat the heat instead of walking around outside mid-afternoon. The volunteers at the entrance were really nice and helpful, our favorite was Max who took his time to explain the ins and outs of an F1 after helping our youngest climb into the cockpit. We purchased a few things at the gift shop, do we offer a military discount? Not sure because we weren't asked. There are many interesting things to browse around through here including a whole space section plus an underground bunker simulation, lots of hands on things that kept our kids occupied for a couple hours. My youngest was excited to find an f-15 outside, but bummed there were no f-18s that his daddy used to work on. All in all, it was an enlightening first experience, I love how all these volunteers are here doing something they love, although most seemed to just be there for social hour amongst themselves rather than speaking to the patrons. It was a fun family affair to kill time and learn new things!

It's a tractor farm!!…read more Recommend bringing cash, this place does take cards but they are solely run by the donations so they really benefit from the cash donations. Support this gem! We've been coming here for a few years and just wonderful seeing every year gets better and better. It's been slowly coming back to life and really is just every little kid dreams come true. Today's Father's day so it's a special event and great for more affordable family gatherings. You just can't beat it. Bathrooms clean, and there was food. But we brought our own snacks and food. Definitely recommend bringing snacks and water. Wear hats, or umbrellas and shoes, gets dusty! Tractor rides and demonstrations, and you can drive a tractor! Our kiddos 2 and 4 got to drive a tractor! Come visit this place, you can see what they have and learn about the farming life, history and the old days how they did it. You can go on many of the tractors just to play on and run around. The black Smith shop is really nice up close encounter to see the blacksmithing at work and can purchase goodies if and when they are available made in shop. They also do repairs as well! The working sawmill is definitely a treat to see! The spindle museum is very interesting and amazing work done at hand. The train station is underway going through remodeling projects. However, it is still really awesome set up, and the volunteers are extremely nice. The watches and clocks is really pretty to see and the history fun. There's an entire property just to walk around and appreciate all the cool construction vehicles, tractors equipment. Just can't beat it. Great way to get outside, walk around and see your kids just beaming with excitement. Sometimes they have the petting zoo and horse rides. We didn't get that far this time with all the added stuff this year. But definitely fun thing to do. We come here about 4 times a year, Father's day and then more in the fall time with the Halloween and Christmas. It can get toasty so take that in account. Come in the mornings and spend a couple of hours. There's even more! So come see for yourself for the next event which is on the website...or even just in a week day to hang out burn some energy. Special events are definitely worth it especially for a lower crowded area and more connections with the folks that run this place. Great family outing!

It was quite a drive and the volunteers at the farmhouse definitely rubbed me the wrong way about my food allergy question.

I was surprised it was just one big open space inside like a warehouse, but my son loved it. They also have a nice outdoor space as well with an awesome water river, sand / fossil digging, and garden. They have a small area for kids under 2 years old, which was nice as well. Lots of hands on activities, a few different block type building stations, and a cute role play area with market, kitchen, laundry. I would say this museum is perfect for toddlers. Not sure older kids would enjoy it as much. They have picnic tables outside where you can enjoy a snack or picnic lunch. They do sell some snacks, but don't have a cafe or anything for something more substantial. Pricing was reasonable and they have a free parking lot. I wish this was located closer to us, I'd definitely return.
