I had signed up for myself a year earlier than for my husband. As it turns out Reputation Defender was working on two different systems. On the older system, they actually send you an email to let you know that a search has been completed for you and that information has been removed. That is not true of the "new" system that my husband is on. When I called to find out why this was, the answer is that the "new" system does not provide notification.
I then asked what the advantage of the "new" was. The answer: "We search 80% of the personal information sites on the internet under the "new" system, and only 40% under the "old." Well, funny when we look at our TrustedID report, it shows that there is 28 items showing personal information for my husband, while my report is clean. Strange?
Apparently Reputation Defender does not have the clout to negotiate with their vendors who contracted with them under the "old" system to contract with them for the "new" system. This probably explains why the 20% cannot be removed from my husband's profile. Stranger still?
Also, the fact that there are two login sites is not clear. In fact when I call to see why I could not sign into my husband's account from the same site from which I can sign in for mine, they insisted that I was mistaken. Well, as it turns out there are different sign in pages for the new and the old.
