I get back into town from a work trip and find my internet is not working at the house! I needed to get some work done and I wanted a quiet place to do some work and have internet access. Starbucks is OK, but it's too noisy there sometimes. So, I thought to check out this library. Yes, it's quiet here and I had easy internet access, so I was able to work just fine. No yakking on the phone though, I don't wanna be the one making the noise! This building seems fairly new and modern, so not a classic old school library, but I just needed a quite place to work, and this is it!

They have a few basics, fast food, gas, etc., but this is definitely a place to go if you are looking for a simpler lifestyle where you can meet friendly neighbors and avoid the hustle and bustle of city life. The freeway widens as it goes through Red Bluff, and I am not sure if that is the result of politicians not knowing how to allocate highway funds, an overoptimistic view of future growth or what. But I can tell you that the endless road construction and CHP speed traps makes me wonder if this isn't a revenue source to help pay for a politician's household expenses somewhere. Regardless, I grew up north of here in the larger metropolis of Redding, and can't say I ever had any bad experiences in Red Bluff. Although I was usually just driving through on my way to Chico.

A call to the Chamber would have served the same purpose of letting them know they have a representative working for them that is unprofessional. Until someone brings it to their attention, they do not have knowledge of the situation, and therefore cannot remedy it. It is unnecessary to give them a two star rating which will follow them forever, because of one bad situation.
