These are my favorite ones I've tried here in Austin! They have a ton more on the menu like quesadillas and enchiladas - everything looks like real authentic Mexican food. We received friendly service from the staff! They also made sure to give us both kinds of hot sauce to go with our meal, there are plenty of paper towels available as well. The food truck is in a little lot right next to sonic, and Julis is the red food truck with an awning covering 4 picnic tables. Everything was very clean and we were able to enjoy our meal outside on the tables. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try if you are in the east Austin area, and looking for authentic Mexican food!

Stopped by on a Sat afternoon. Food arrived quickly…read more We ordered the sausage, pork buns and the sticky rice. The sausage was the standout. It was very flavorful and came on a big bed of rice. The pork buns were a bit dry and likely needed some kind of sauce but still tasty. The sticky rice was a generous portion but is a bit too spicy for me but I'm sure ppl that enjoy spicy food would like it. The food truck is next to the Vacancy brewing. Their Jet Lag Lager is fabulous. It's worth a visit.

Until this year, I never noticed right across the street was Vacancy Brewing and the SXSE Food Co food truck. I took advantage of an Austin Asian Restaurant Passport that benefited a local charity, while also promoting local Asian restaurants. SXSE Food Co was one of the participating restaurants, and I wanted to take the opportunity to try Laotian food. The food was solid, with the flavorful sweet and savory balance similar to Thai and Vietnamese food. The skewers were solid but the crispy fried rice was my favorite dish. It had amazing texture with the crispiness and chewy nature of the sticky rice. There's also freshness from the herbs. The dish overall reminded me of the savory sticky rice with Chinese sausage we make in Cantonese cuisine, and the nostalgia made me love it that much more.
