Queso and chips
Todd P.

We stopped by for Happy Hour for the first time. While we've played golf there, this was our first time having food. We started off with queso and chips. While the queso was super cheesy, it needed a little spice in our opinion. We then followed up with their lettuce wraps and the cheese wontons. Both were really delicious. One recommendation: we had a couple beers but then I tried a $6 Skyy martini. An excellent value!

Book a private golf bay and enjoy some indoor golf with friends or family. TeeBox Indoor Golf is a great way to escape the heat this summer! They've even got a scratch kitchen and full bar serving up great craft cocktails. We took the family and ended up extending our play when we didn't want the fun to end. You can rent a set of clubs, they have kids size too, so you don't need to bring anything with you. The attendants and bartender were very attentive and helping us often with changing the course and game. Drinks and apps were served up quick and were great quality. It's a nice option to have up in Cave Creek. TeeBox is located in Stagecoach village with other restaurants and shops. It made for a fun family morning, and we will definitely be back!

Flat bread (made in house crust) and crème cheese wontons. Also had sliders!

Came to the Tee box because we follow Duffy King and he was playing Friday night. Had ZERO expectations about the food but it was fabulous! New executive chef is planning big changes in next few weeks! Stop by - golfing not required! Beautiful patio. Wonderful service. Manager stopped by and very nice!

Awesome spot to practice your swing at throughout the year but especially during summer. Facilities are top notch, golf bays are super spacious, bar/food is on par (pun intended) and the service was great. Naomi was our waitress and she was super attentive and friendly. Definitely coming back here for all day happy hour M-Th!

Golf lounge

Great food, great drinks and outstanding service. The bar is amazing and the indoor golf playing lounges are the perfect place for a group gathering.

Understaffed, overpriced and empty. Don't waste your time. Not sure they will be able to stay open.

My girlfriends and I stayed here recently, and from the moment we arrived, the property set the tone. Surrounded by sweeping golf views and true desert beauty, it felt peaceful and grounded. We even had the unexpected joy of seeing javelinas wander through the area--one of those moments that reminds you you're truly away from the noise. The amenities are simple and thoughtfully curated: a pool and a hot tub that invite you to slow down. There isn't an overload of extras, and honestly, that works in its favor. The real differentiator is the suites--they are absolute perfection. Spacious, well-appointed, and designed in a way that makes you feel at home rather than "checked in." We especially appreciated being able to cook for ourselves, which added a layer of comfort and ease to the stay. There's also a restaurant on-site for those who prefer dining out, though we didn't visit it this time. All in all, Rancho Mañana delivers a refined, restful experience. It's the kind of place that understands its lane--quiet luxury, natural beauty, and space to breathe--and executes it exceptionally well.

We arrived at 8:13, we were not told to head to the 1st tee, I expected they would bump us back due to our tardiness. Nope! We got settled into the cart & inquired when we were going out, he said go ahead you're up. Arriving at the 1st tee was a 2some & the ranger. This older man says "hurry up tee off to catch the group (2some) in front. As we were getting ready he looked back & said "I told you tee off quickly, these guys are waiting". I told him that's our plan. He told me we weren't moving quickly enough & started to become a dick! I advised him I called ahead & was in no rush, the 2 some waiting could go ahead. That group said no rush you won't be holding us up (they play slower or are not very good). After teeing off the other marshall came by on the 1st fairway telling us we would be joining the 2some in front of us on the 2nd tee as soon as we finish. I replied "yes, we were told this by the other marshall. This went on for the first 2 holes, rushing is to move quicker. Subsequently I hit into the group we were expecting to join, thinking they were made aware & waiting on us. We were visited by these 2 Marshall's 4 times in the first 2 holes! FFS! This is ridiculous & rude! The greens are peppered with ball marks all over, the fairways are immaculate. We were never pushed by anyone behind us, only caught the group in front at the 16th tee. The group we joined was a adult male & young (12 or 13 year old) child, who hasn't played much & needed extra time. I will never return to this course & will make sure to advise Golf Now of my review as well. The 1st hole & a few other holes on the front, face due east into the , making it difficult to track the & slower play.

I was scrolling through my pictures thinking, "Man, I gotta write this review," and then I see people giving this place low ratings. Low ratings? Were we on the same planet? Did you accidentally golf in a Walmart parking lot instead? Because this place is flat-out gorgeous. Arizona already feels like it cheated at golf. Every course looks like it belongs on a postcard, but this one? This one flexes a little. Easy top three for me. You've got two 18-hole courses, both designed to politely shake your hand... and then rob you blind. I'd call it about an 8 in difficulty. Not impossible, but it'll absolutely have you questioning your life choices by hole 12. Now let's talk strategy. You can ride in a golf cart like a king, sipping drinks, living your best life... or you can do what we did get out and walk like a couple of overconfident heroes who forgot we're not 21 anymore. By the back nine, we weren't golfing... we were negotiating with our legs. "Just one more hole, boys... we can make it..." The restaurant? Solid. Food hits the spot, drinks go down easy, and by the time you sit down, you feel like you actually earned it instead of just chauffeuring yourself around the desert. By the end of the day, we were sun-cooked, leg-burned, slightly humbled... and loving every second of it. Long day, half hustle so we didn't get run over, and a full reminder that golf is a game that will smile at you while quietly ruining your scorecard. Bottom line if you get the chance to play here, do it. And maybe stretch first... learn from our mistakes.

The biggest issue is the condition of the course. Nearly every hole had fairways with very little grass, and what grass remained often appeared diseased, dead, or severely stressed. Even for a desert course, the playing conditions were well below expectations. The facilities are also quite dated and in need of attention. Pace of play was another frustration. Despite seeing marshals pass through four times during our first 12 holes, the round moved painfully slowly with little apparent improvement. At this price point, golfers should expect much better course conditions and management. The one bright spot was that they allowed us to play as a twosome on a busy tee sheet, which I appreciated. For visitors, I'd recommend spending a little more for one of the many Scottsdale-area courses with superior agronomics and overall experience. For locals, there are simply too many better options nearby. Unfortunately, this is a hard pass for me moving forward.

Subject: Formal Member Concern - Leadership, Operations, and Member Experience at Tatum Ranch Golf…read moreClub We are writing as a group of long-standing and highly engaged members of Tatum Ranch Golf Club to formally document serious and ongoing concerns regarding the club's leadership, operating environment, golf course conditions, and overall member experience under their current General Manager. Tatum Ranch has historically been a strong, community-oriented private club with a loyal membership base and a culture centered around golf, hospitality, and long-term member relationships. While we understand the economic realities and operational pressures associated with running a private club within a corporate ownership structure, the recent deterioration in member experience, employee morale, operational consistency, and golf course conditions represents a material deviation from the standards members expect from a club of this caliber. Based on consistent firsthand member observations and interactions, we believe this decline is being directly driven by the leadership, tone, communication style, and decision-making of their General Manager, rather than broader corporate strategy alone. 1. Leadership Tone, Professionalism, and Member Treatment At the core of our concern is a breakdown in professionalism and culture at the club level. A private club environment requires respectful communication, hospitality, accountability, and consistent member engagement. Unfortunately, many members no longer feel that standard is being upheld. Members have observed and experienced: Public-facing interactions that lack professionalism and discretion Instances where members have been addressed inappropriately in front of guests and fellow members A leadership tone that often feels dismissive, adversarial, or defensive rather than member-focused and solutions-oriented A growing perception that member concerns are minimized rather than genuinely addressed This is not an isolated issue. Culture flows directly from leadership, and many members believe the tone currently being established by their GM has negatively impacted the overall atmosphere of the club. 2. Staff Morale, Culture, and Retention Concerns Equally concerning is the impact the current management environment has had on staff morale and employee retention. The strength of any successful private club is directly tied to the quality and stability of its people, and there is growing concern that the current leadership environment is contributing to staff dissatisfaction and turnover. Members have already witnessed: The departure of key personnel Noticeably declining staff morale Concerns among employees regarding management culture Increasing fear that additional valued employees may leave Of particular concern is the departure of Head Golf Professional. He was widely viewed as one of the most respected and valuable individuals at Tatum Ranch Golf Club. He was instrumental in maintaining the club's golf culture, member relationships, and day-to-day experience. His professionalism, accessibility, and commitment to the membership were deeply appreciated by the club community. Many members strongly believe that the leadership environment created under the current GM directly contributed to the Head Pro's departure. Importantly, The Head Pro's own resignation letter appears to validate many of the concerns members have been expressing. In his resignation letter. "This decision has not been made lightly. At this time, I feel I can no longer support the current direction of the club or the environment that has developed." This statement is extremely concerning coming from a long-tenured and highly respected leader within the organization. To many members, it confirms the broader concerns surrounding the culture, direction, and management environment currently being fostered at the club. The loss of a Head Golf Professional should not be viewed as ordinary turnover. It reflects a deeper organizational issue that warrants immediate attention from Arcis leadership. 3. Operational Execution and Service Degradation Members have also experienced a steady decline in operational execution and overall service quality across multiple aspects of the club. Examples include: Inconsistent food and beverage service Reduced responsiveness to member concerns Declining attention to detail across daily operations Lack of communication and follow-through regarding ongoing issues General inconsistency in the level of hospitality expected from a private club environment While occasional operational challenges are understandable, the broader concern is the apparent lack of accountability and urgency in addressing recurring problems. These issues have become increasingly noticeable to members and continue to contribute to the growing perception that the club lacks strong and effective local leadership. 4. Golf Course Conditions

I recently had the chance to play Troon North Golf Club in the Phoenix area, and let me tell you,…read moreit wasn't just a round of golf it was one of those perfect days that turns into a story you'll tell for years. A buddy of mine was down there on a business trip and decided to turn it into a full-on reunion. He covered everything, so a few of us flew in from the rainy Northwest, desperate for some sun. We landed in 60-70 degree weather, stepped onto those lush, emerald fairways, and instantly knew we couldn't miss this. I'm an average golfer at best honestly, this place sits right on the edge of my comfort zone but that's exactly what made it magic. We teed off with no one in front of us or behind us, just a nice little gap that meant even if we hacked it up, nobody was there to witness the crime. It felt straight out of a movie. My buddy pulls out a couple of Cuban cigars, and before long the whole course starts to look like it's gently swaying in the breeze. Sunglasses on, drinks flowing, we're striking ridiculous photo-op poses between shots. Some guys take golf dead seriously; we were out there for the vibes, the laughs, and the escape. And the views? Breathtaking doesn't even cover it. You're surrounded by jagged rocks and dramatic mountains that scream "Arizona desert," yet the moment you're on the fairways it feels like you've been dropped into a lush paradise. The grass is so vibrant and perfectly manicured that for a second you forget you're in the middle of the Sonoran Desert it's more like wandering through a secret green oasis tucked inside a painting. The topography keeps it honest, though: those rocky outcrops and rolling hills remind you exactly where you are, while the fairways themselves are tricky enough to keep you humble. We were having the time of our lives drinking, shenanigans, the works when we rolled up to this devious little hole where you couldn't quite see the pin. You had to shape a nice hook just to land it on the other side. By then we were pretty well lubricated and had basically quit keeping score. One of the guys lofts a ball that trickles into the bunker. I couldn't resist. While he was still hunting for it, I scooped the ball, walked it over, and dropped it straight into the cup. Then we all parked our carts behind the green like innocent spectators. He's out there scratching his head, looking absolutely lost. His buddy putts up onto the green, glances down, and suddenly yells, "Your ball's in the hole! Hole in one! I can't believe it!" The poor guy goes from confused to ecstatic in about two seconds flat jumping in the air, flinging his club, screaming like he just won the PGA Tour. The rest of us lost it. I was laughing so hard my ribs hurt for the next hour. He thought it was the greatest day of his life, and honestly, in that moment it kind of was. That prank, the cigars, the drinks, the pure ridiculous camaraderie it's the stuff that makes golf trips legendary. Troon North itself is first-class all the way: pristine fairways, top-notch equipment rentals, and a beautiful clubhouse that feels like the perfect bookend to the day. Whether you're a serious golfer chasing every challenge (and trust me, the course throws plenty at you with its clever layouts and strategic bunkers), or just a bunch of clowns showing up to blow off steam, soak in the scenery, and celebrate friendship this place delivers. It's trickier than it looks, but that's part of the fun. If you're looking to unwind, reconnect with buddies, and create memories that have you cracking up months later, Troon North is the spot. I left feeling like I'd spent the day in paradise, and I can't wait to go back.
