This is one of the only "google-able" secret beaches in Whatcom county, so expect it to be busy! Parking is easy with a public parking one-way loop to use. The walk (hike) down has been improved greatly in the past few years with the addition of stairs in the steep hillside, and involves less cliff scaling than before.
When you get down to the beach, there is a large rock outcropping and a small cove to the right that kayakers tend to launch out of and is perfect if you are looking for a dip in the water after walking down the trail. To the left, you will find a more rocky beach with a large boulder breakwater with all kind of critters living in/on it! the trail track circles around this bay, so be careful crossing active tracks and be ready to plug your ears when the commuter comes by!
This beach is ideal for summer picnics and seeing the famous Washington Bioluminescence as it is so protected. read more
