Ted Kim does murals with a lot of intricate details. It almost hurts my head, but in a good way. I have no idea how he does such fine detail. Kim stated making this detailed murals after blowing out his knee skateboarding. This mural does not have an official title nor has Kim begun selling prints of this one, as he does others.
It is becoming his signature of having a piece that depicts a young girl with her back to the viewer looking at some type of detailed background. In this case the young girl is looking at the sky that has a few hot air ballons sailing in the sky over or near a cirlcle in the that I am assuming is the sun . It is located on the side of the Snow City Café. It is a very intriguing mural. Kim uses a unique style that is all his own. It is almost like one of those illusions posters that appear to start to move when you stare at it for a bit.
Parking to get a closer look is very easy. There is metered street parking within a reasonable walking distance and well as tons of commercial parking lots and garages.
Anyway, as with most murals that I have visited and reviewed, this is not a very long stop. I was there less than 5 minutes. You may want to consider planning out additional stops at many of the other attractions or making this stop part of a larger itinerary to maximize your time and trip. read more
