Sunflower Heaven! This place lights up in the Summer time! Acres of Sunflowers blooming beautifully! Located in Yellow Springs. Tecumseh Land Trust is a nonprofit conservation organization serving Greene and Clark Counties of Ohio and surrounding areas. The purpose of Tecumseh Land Trust is to preserve agricultural land, natural areas, water resources, and historic sites, in voluntary cooperation with landowners, and to educate the public about permanent land preservation. They assist landowners in navigating state and federal easement programs, as well as, accept donated easements on farmland and natural areas. Their mission: -Conserve rich fertile agricultural land; to protect the viability of agriculture Ohio's #1 industry -To maintain a diverse environment by protecting natural habitat for plants and wildlife; -To ensure that future generations have fresh clean water sources; -To encourage a functioning local food economy -To preserve historical structures and sites as part of the rural and urban landscape -To educate new stewards of the land; and to save natural and agricultural land for the benefit of future generations. A must visit in the Summer and Fall when in the Yellow Springs area.

The Tecumseh Land Trust is a great place to go to view the sunflowers when they're in bloom. Unfortunately, they're only in bloom for two weeks and you don't really know when they'll decide to make their debut. LOL. You just have to like their FB page, and they'll post when the sunflowers are ready! We got the chance to see this over the weekend and it was pretty cool! It's a short drive from Dayton, and you get to stop at Young's Jersey Dairy afterwards. It's free to come here, and they guys who own this place are nice enough to even have a lot for people to park in when they're over here. They even have volunteers directing people where to go. Overall, I'd account for about 20 or 30 mins for this little excursion. It's not a big area so it'll be quick.

We typically go to the Yankee Street Market sunflower field each year, but this year their field failed because of too much rain. We decided to go to the Tecumseh one this year because of it. I followed their Facebook page and they did a great job updating how the field was coming along! When they announced the field was ready, we went on a week day to avoid the huge weekend crowds. I know this field is very popular, so early mornings and week days are better days to go. They have on-site parking next to the field at the entrance of farm. It's a great place for taking photos and the field is huge, so there's plenty of room to do so. Just as other sunflower fields, the sunflowers are only in bloom for about two weeks, so you only have a short window of when you can see them. You can take advantage of the location by visiting nearby Young's Dairy or downtown Yellow Springs! I have no complaints about our visit!

Came here during mid September with my dog solely for the sunflower fields. The fact that this place is dog friendly is a huge plus for us. Non-profit organization which was extremely helpful in answering any questions I had and was willing to open up this place for the public. Would recommend for anyone who has the opportunity to check out the sunflower fields when they are available. There is free parking next to the fields, just make sure you don't park on the side of the road.

Gorgeous sunflowers as far as the eye can see!

Beautiful field of sunflowers near Yellow Springs. There is free parking just north of the fields.
