I work downtown so I thought it would be more convenient to bring my computer to a computer shop near the down town area for repairs. What a mistake!!! The repair shop, close to my office, put a new battery in my computer but just over 3 months later, the battery swelled. I took the computer into Silicon Valley in Embrun. They advised me that the swollen battery could be dangerous and they offered to remove it and dispose of it. I was so grateful and relieved that they took action immediately and prevented a potentially harmful situation from happening. In early February 2023, I took my 2015 Mac to him because it would not function any longer on 256GB of storage. He didn't need to keep it for long. He put in a bigger drive and transferred the data from old to new. It arrived in my hands with the data looking exactly the way it did when I took it in. The difference is it has room to run. Two weeks in and it runs well. With the added room, he installed the next OS, and took a photo showing layers of dust that was compromising the functioning of an interior fan.
