Looking for a place to eat, found this gem and realized I wanted to try it. Everyone had told us…read moredinner reservations were a MUST here, but didn't think about it. Not many places actually have yelp reviews, but this one had so many with great feedback. The food looked amazing. When we arrived we thought they were closed, but that is because they moved to a bigger restaurant a few doors down. When we arrived at the front, the gentleman asked if we had reservations, which we didn't. He directed us to the line with no reservations. The line was a bit long, but doubled in size almost immediately. It also started pouring rain during this time and we were ALL getting drenched even with an umbrella. The non reservation line was not really moving unless people left the line. We waited a good hour. As we inched closer and closer, the lines were now both outrageous and getting seated seemed like a distant memory. The staff came out and gave out Sangria and Bread bites to help those in line feel welcome. We did finally get seated and we were so glad we waited, it was worth it! We ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara, the lobster spaghettini and the chicken breast with roasted potatoes. We also ordered sangria. Everything was so good and our total was 83 €. Prices were unbelievable! We were amazed at the quality, the service and how large the restaurant they relocated to was. It was like a well oiled machine. The food coming out quickly and efficiently. I will 100% be back if I return to Florence!

Definitely can tell the old building and maybe they had expanded over the years. The service was amazing and the food delicious. This is one of the places that friends recommended and it's also on the list of many influencers. Tourist trappy, maybe. But the food was totally worth it. We were in the area around 4:30PM and decided to stop in, totally not expecting much as we didn't make a reservation but figured if they're open and not busy, why not give them a try. The most memorable dish we had was the appetizer we order - fried polenta with mushrooms and chicken liver pate, the polenta fried crispy, the mushrooms creamy and the chicken liver pate so smooth and savory. We also ordered 2 pasta dishes - wild boar sauce pappardelle and spaghetti alla carbonara. So tasty and with depth of flavors. Paired well with the house white wine we ordered as well. Definitely a spot you don't want to miss when in Florence.

My husband and I got the chefs menu. Each dish was delicious. Pasta, meat, and veggies; we got it all. The platings were big and not what I expected from usual Michelin places! Two big servings of fresh pasta! By the meat plate I was actually too full to finish. The pistachio drizzle over panna cotta was one of the best desserts we had in our whole Italy trip. Never had it before and it was a perfect ending. Great staff. Our kids had plenty of choices of food as well. Staff very patient with them. Amazing last dinner

Once we saw they had Michelin star we had to check them out. The restaurant itself is not that big but the flavor of the food sure is. Cozy, romantic atmosphere. Perfect for a gals night out or couples. I wish we would had more time to dine there again. I highly recommend dinning here if staying in Cortona. We had the handmade raviolis, rosemary fries, pork, steak and tiramisu. The fries were so delicious we ordered a second batch. The steak and pork were cooked perfectly- both juicy not dry and packed with flavor. I loved how we were treated. Service was top notch . Loved the attention of detail throughout the dinner- the way the food was presented, to the nice dinner napkins and how we were offered grappa after dinner. Pictures do not do it justice.

This will be the high bar you set in life for anything round and salty that comes out of the oven. Damn, this will be the high bar you set for pizza, period. Scott and I are completely convinced that the Caprese pizza has some sort of drug in it. The first time I ate here was in 2003 and instantly knew this was the best pizza I would ever have. Fast-forward almost 10 years later, several countries and a few visits to Naples in search of the best pizza and BAM - Pizzaman is still the most perfect pizza I, and probably you once you eat here, have ever had. Obvs I didnt drink back in 2003 so Pasquale (the founder) would tell my friends and me every time to get American champagne.... aka Coke! :) I'm happy to see after all this time the original place is still there, and there are other branches. I know that the key to his success was not only the perfect flavor and fresh ingredients, but Pasquale's amazing energy and true love for a good pizza. I have ruined several of my friends' lives by bringing them here, as they go back to their home countries and just can't settle with any pizza anymore. Raffaello is the main pizzaiolo here now and he will make sure you get a little sample of the panuozzo when you walk in the door. Everybody is so nice! If this place was bigger maybe this is where people who die and go to heaven would have pizza. You've been warned.
