You can order coffee, drinks, or snacks while studying for a good refreshment. It's also a really cute book store that sells both Italian and English books. It is a theater but there are also music concerts, you can have a look at the program on the website here http://www.teatrodellapergola.com/ It is an old beautiful theater (17th century, under the patronage of a Medici - again - according to wikipedia) with two rooms, the sala Grande (the one you can see on my pictures) and Sallocino a former ballroom located upstairs that i have not seen. Do not save on your effort and please raise your head to admire the ceilings: so beautiful. The whole theater is in really good shape, well renovated. I went to listen to a concert of classical music, it was my first time and i enjoyed a lot - and i guess the beautiful surroundings were also responsible for the good time i had. And even if the theater is old, the seat are not so uncomfortable as they sometimes are! At the intermission, you can head to the very nice bar to have a quick cake (not tasted yet!)...

This review is way overdue. We were here in September of 2019 …read more.. After seeing chef Fabio Picchi on Somebody feed Phil I made a mental note to check out his restaurants while in Italy. The first night my husband and I got to Florence we decided to try our luck and see if we can get in to Circo Lo Teatro del Sale for dinner. And sure enough we got in. I was so excited for this experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the hostesses went out of her way to find us a small table cause the place was so full and mostly communal tables. The food was delicious. Everything we ate was flavorful, perfectly cooked and seasoned. We really enjoyed our dinner, we even met the chef in person. Unfortunately last year he passed away and it was heartbreaking. I'm very thankful that I got to taste his amazing food at this place and also his other restaurant Cibreo. Both places were amazing.
