However, the welcoming and comfortable environment was apparent the second I walked into the gym. The coaches, as well as the other students, were very helpful and patient with the various techniques and proper movements. Darin, the coach for my class, was very understanding and accommodating of my knowledge of Jiu Jitsu, making the transition into a seemingly intimidating situation very smooth and enjoyable. He is an incredibly personable, friendly guy with tight instruction. Very impressive vibe here. When I moved down here, I searched hard for a good fit to keep my training going with a much busier life. There are world class fighters in this area and plenty of MMA choices and I've tried and trained under a few. But when I consider how limited my time is for instruction/drilling/rolling, I needed to find a place that could distill all of this effectively and this was the answer. It's working out better than I expected. I would highly suggest you visit here regardless of your age, gender, or physical considerations.

From the moment I walked in, everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful, which meant a lot to me as a fairly new BJJ practitioner. The class focused on spider/lasso guard, and the instruction was top-notch. His ability to break things down for different levels was excellent. The team culture here is positive, encouraging, and professional. You can tell they value both the art and the students who come through the door. If you're lucky enough to live in the Orlando area--or even just passing through--I would highly recommend Alliance BJJ. Great instruction, great people, and a fantastic environment to train in!

Much like a gym, you are free to take classes on any day of the week that is offered for your age group. This is perfect for little ones because if they get sick on one day, I'm free to skip our preferred class and attend class another day without having to pay a penalty fee. Class rates are highly affordable and extend out for six months. After enrolling our twins, I found out the third person in the household would be free... So... guess who else will be taking MMA ;) If all this isn't enough to be sold, I highly suggest trying out the class with the great deal they currently offer: For $20 you get the first two classes and your gi (uniform). They offer the best summer camp options and after school program. We are just so lucky to have found a caring and safe group of people to help us out with teaching our kid self defense and life skills.
