Team McGinnis has been the best... Kevin and Erin McGinnis have sold our house for us well over asking price in record time. We received 5 solid offers for our home in just a few days of putting the house on the market, Team McGinnis was wonderful in addressing each offer clearly concisely and on time they made sure we closed the deal in a record time frame also. We will refer them to anyone that plans to sell or buy property. The Best for a prosperous future in 2022 Mr. Davis and Family read more

Novato realtors' Team McGinnis saved us from a difficult situation in the Novato real estate housing market. After 19 years of home ownership in the same Novato location, we decided that it was time to make a move across town and acted quickly to financially stretch into a larger, more expensive, house. Purchasing the house in the new location with a bridge loan at a high rate of interest, the transaction only works "if" we sell our existing house quickly to capitalize on the home's equity having made a quick purchase of a new house at a high rate of interest which we needed to refinance. When our realtor became hospitalized for almost two weeks and with our longtime home sitting on the market for over 30 days, we were feeling that we were headed for financial ruin and were in a vulnerable position sitting on two mortgages. On a Thursday morning, we had a difficult conversation with our still recovering realtor, parted ways amicably, and then reached out to Team McGiniss for help. Working with Kevin and Erin of Team McGinnis, our outlook quickly changed. We were provided market analysis reports which allowed us to reset our expectations in relisting the property, the home was staged with beautiful Team McGinnis furniture in just one day, and two open houses were scheduled for that weekend on both Saturday and Sunday. By the end of the weekend, we had two of what would ultimately be four offers, each over the listed price, all that came within 10 days of making the decision to go with Team McGinnis. Working with Kevin and Erin of Team McGinnis allowed us to get through the sale of our home at a time when we needed it most, increased our exposure from zero offers to four in ten days, and had us selling our home at a price significantly over the listed asking price. Kevin and Erin provided us with the professional expertise, emotional support, and fast action required to turn around a bad situation in an uncertain housing market. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to work with a powerhouse real estate team in Marin County and the North Bay. read more

We selected Kevin and Erin after a disappointing experience with another real estate agency that basically wasted 90 days when the market was hot. We were concerned that we had missed the market window. They met with us and listened to our story with patience and understanding. So we were cautious about working with just another agency as we just experienced. Their confidence and expertise built a whole new trust for us. We trusted their pricing, the presentation and their guidance through out the process. Erin is a real stager. She knew exactly what needed to be done and we followed her mentoring. They were always prompt in their response and attention to detail. My wife and I couldn't begin to write about how we felt cared for and when they assisted us through preparation to sell, the selling process and then the closing documentation was thorough, professional, and caring. We have purchased and sold many homes throughout our lives and we never experienced their level of professionalism combined with caring. We would be glad to strongly recommend to everyone that Kevin and Erin are the best team in Marin real estate. Kerry Benthall and Iole Taddei read more

Kevin and Erin, Team McGinnis, helped us sell our home in Novato recently. To their advantage they are long time Novatans, living and raising their children in Novato. This means that they know Novato intimately and can use that knowledge to help best present a Novatan home for sale. They truly work as a team dividing the different responsibilities of working with sellers to get their home sold for the best possible price. Erin helped us by recommending changes to our home decor, helped decide what items to remove for the showing process, staged the home by bringing in furniture and art and generally did everything possible to ensure the home was presented in the best possible light to potential buyers. Kevin helped shepherd us through the process beginning to end by ensuring all documents and necessary processes were carried out in a timely and efficient manner. We received multiple offers within one week of listing the home and accepted an offer well above our asking price. I would not hesitate to engage Team McGinnis again if I had a home to sell, they are a pleasure to work with, ethical and truly act on their clients behalf. read more

Erin and Kevin were very professional and made selling our house during the pandemic smooth and easy. Best part, they listed our house at the price we believed our house was worth and sold it for more. The very best realtors in Novato and marin area. Very rude and unprofessional when I contacted him about a listing that had a contingent contract. As a buyer who already sold a home, I was willing to pay cash with immediate closing. When I contacted Kevin via text, what I got back to my question as to whether the owner was still possibly looking at offers, was a curt and rude response. Instead of asking if I'd like to talk on the phone about that house or other possible listings, his first text response was, "Who is this?" That's not a normal realtor response, which would typically be, "It's not available, but maybe there's another that might be to your liking. Can we talk?" I couldn't help wonder if he thought maybe I was a minority. Anyway, I would never do business with him, and unfortunately he's a poor reflection on Compass as well. read more

Team McGinnis managed the preparation, staging and sale of our Novato home with the utmost expertise, knowledge, skill, and impeccable attention to detail. Erin and Kevin far exceeded our expectations in every aspect of the process! And not only that, but they did it with great compassion, patience, and a bit of humor. Such serious business needs a little lightness every now and then! That said, they met every deadline they set for themselves, were prompt and complete in their communications with us, and delivered in every area imaginable. We cannot stress enough the comfort we felt working with this wonderful duo, and the confidence we had in them from start to finish. As a professional stager, Erin made our home look amazing - at no extra cost - talk about added value! We were blown away by the transformation she created! Kevin's management of the business side of the transaction was honest, smooth, professional, and driven by integrity and great skill. We were referred to this amazing couple by a family member and we couldn't be happier to have teamed up with them to sell our home. Erin and Kevin, you have our deepest appreciation! read more

We recently sold a single-family home using Team McGinnis as our listing agents.  The entire experience was fantastic and we highly recommend Team McGinnis to anybody looking to buy or sell real estate.  Kevin and Erin are highly experienced realtors who will, without question, obtain the best result for you in any given market. And a major bonus if you're selling - - Erin will stage your home at no additional cost.  I have paid thousands for staging in the past, in addition to the selling commission, so hiring Team McGinnis is a no-brainer on this point alone.  All this, and Erin does an exquisite job with the staging!  Erin brought in every last piece of furniture/décor herself and made our previously vacant home look its absolute best.  When she was done, our home not only looked stunning, but it actually appeared bigger than it had before. We couldn't have been more pleased with our entire experience with Team McGinnis.  Do yourself a favor and hire only the best when selling real estate.  It will pay dividends for you in the end result. read more

We literally could not be more satisfied with Team McGinnis and their approach to selling our home. Times have changed folks, and these days you need realtors who not only have a comprehensive knowledge of home values within your geographic footprint, but they need to be experts in staging for both the in-home walk through and particularly for digital marketing (still photos AND videos are essential now). They need to have the experience to navigate all the legal issues around home sales, and to not only be able to negotiate effectively, but to be able to analyze the quality of buyers' offers and probabilities of closing. And on top of all THAT, you should hope they are pleasant to work with because this is an intense, short-term business partnership and everyone has to work hard if they hope to get the maximum value. Kevin and Erin check all those boxes and then some. They had numerous ideas about the best way to cost-efficiently spruce up our home, to obtain both the highest price AND to attract the most offers in the shortest time frame. They were ALWAYS quick to respond to emails and calls, and ALWAYS willing to do what's necessary to solve problems (a lot of this doesn't happen just sitting at a desk in front of a computer...you have to hustle!). Their ability to stage our home spared us the exorbitant costs of furniture rentals and gave us the best possible look for web-based marketing. AND we had multiple offers within two days of listing, one of which closed successfully at MORE than the asking price. AND they're just the nicest folks! Failure is not an option, and there are rarely do-overs in this business. If you want to get it right, you will not regret making Team McGinnis your home sale partner. Thanks Kevin and Erin, we really appreciate your hard work and knowledge! read more

Erin and Kevin are the best. We chose them to sell our Hamilton home based on their favorable reviews and they did not disappoint. The home needed updating and we no longer lived in the area. Erin and Kevin presented us with options and were very responsive and helpful at every turn. We leaned heavily on their broad range of contacts to do the necessary work. With Erin's expert staging, we had multiple offers in less than a week at or over asking. Thank you Team McGinnis!! read more

Where should we start about this great dynamic couple!!... We were selling our Condo in Novato and did our research regarding the best Realty Team in Novato to give our listing to. We found Erin and Kevin McGinnis of Golden Gate Sotheby's International Realty, who checked all the boxes for us. We set up an appointment and my wife and I met them and found them to be extremely friendly and knowledgeable regarding the selling and most importantly the timing of when to sell our property. We did a complete remodel of our Condo prior to selling and used a contractor that they both recommended. I found this contractor to not only be reasonable, but extremely reliable. He was always on time and the time line for completion of this remodel was met. The results exceeded our expectations!! Erin and Kevin were there to answer any questions we had, walking us through the process of getting our Condo ready for sale. Erin did a wonderful job of staging, and we had a one day open house on a Sunday. Four days later, we had 2 offers, one was for our asking price, and the other for over asking, all cash and a 15 day close. We were extremely happy and closed today... We highly recommend this professional couple to sell your property. No wonder this team is wining awards in Marin!! Much thanks to you both!! David and Jacqueline B read more

For house selling, I can't recommend Team McGinnis enough. Erin did an excellent job helping us get the house fixed up, which involved the management of multiple complex work streams on an aggressive timeline. She did all the heavy lifting (in some cases, literally), and her staging looked fantastic. Kevin was totally on top of fielding offers and pushing the process through quickly and efficiently. I was really impressed by their breadth of knowledge and professionalism, and I particularly appreciated how communicative they were, while mindful of my own time. read more

Kevin and Erin McGinnis are simply amazing! We wanted to sell our home as quickly as possible, in order to take advantage of the rising market, and yet we wanted to get the best price for our home as well. The McGinnis Team made it happen for us - we received an offer well over our asking price, and closed on the sale just two months after signing up with them! From the beginning, the communication with Kevin and Erin was clear, direct and very responsive. Within days of starting the process, we had a "Game Plan" for getting the house staged and ready for sale. Their access to an array of professional contractors helped us get the house in perfect shape. Then, Erin came in and worked her magic to stage the house - and this couple did all the work of moving the furniture in, hanging pictures, and adding a ton of other tasteful design elements around the house. The professionally-prepared photographs, and the video walk-through, presented our house in the absolutely best manner, and made us feel very proud of our home as it hit the market. We immediately received a lot of interest in the house, and within less than 48 hours, we had an offer well over asking price, with additional potential offers in the background. Kevin effectively represented our interests in the negotiation, resulting in a very smooth and tension-free escrow that closed on time without any hitches. We would highly recommend Kevin and Erin McGinnis to anyone thinking of selling their home, particularly in the South Novato neighborhoods: * They have a deep knowledge of the local market, having sold many other homes in the area. * They deliver on all the services they promise, including marketing materials, staging, and negotiation. * They were flexible to our needs, allowing us to make the decisions about home improvements that were right for us. * They met our timelines at every step of the way. * They were very respectful of our concerns about protecting our kitty throughout the staging process, and later when the home was being shown. * They are both very pleasant, down-to-earth people who will feel like a part of your family when the process is done! read more

We hired Kevin & Erin, in a large part due to their local presence. We had seen them at various local events and that combined with their reviews and track record in local sales made them the obvious choice for us. They where extremely professional throughout the process and helped us stage the house and provided advice and guidance on updates. All of this contributed to our house hitting the market at its best. It was a challenging sale process, but they won through in the end and we felt that their dedication, professionalism and responsiveness really helped us sell our house. Would without hesitation recommend them to anyone looking for an agent in the area. read more

Buying and selling property in this chaotic market can be confusing and overwhelming. Erin and Kevin were amazing to work with throughout the process and combined their skills and talents to help us. Erin's staging (included in the fee) was perfect, and the video and photos showcasing our property were breathtaking. Kevin worked with us through the sales process ensuring we covered all the bases. Working with Erin and Kevin to sell our home was fantastic.   We have moved around a bit over the years and have worked with many realtors.   Team McGinnis' service based approach to their clients is second to none from our experience.   They listened to our needs and non-negotiables and came up with a plan that aligned perfectly; from house prep to staging to listing and closing.    They managed the process to that plan, and fully took control of the property while we were out of state.   Buying and selling a home is a very big decision for anybody, and it is clear that Team McGinnis understands that and treats the process as more than just a "transaction", walking their clients seamlessly through the experience with great advice and assurance along the way. read more

Very much loved the help offered by Team McGinnis! Eric is a very enthusiastic person, and follows up and helps out (especially for a first time buyer). We sold our home very quickly for above asking price, the highest this model has sold for that I could find. They had very practical advice as to what things needed fixing or to be updated, and what was not worthwhile. They arranged for painters/carpet/window cleaners etc. They staged the home very nicely also. I feel that they really had our best interest at heart and were our advocates. I've lived in my house in Novato for 15 years, and even when we moved in in 2005, I knew I would use Team McGinnis to sell my house one day, and I am so glad I did. Team McGinnis -- Above and Beyond Kevin and Erin McGinnis were our realtors for both the purchase of our new home and the sale of our old home within a 3-month period. We couldn't be happier with our Realtor choice and recommend them to anyone and everyone who is considering buying or selling in Marin County. They are definitely The Best of the Best and continually go above and beyond expectations throughout the process of purchase and sale. They hold your hand when your hand needs holding, they advise, counsel, prepare you and your home, negotiate (as we were buyers and sellers, negotiated both sides of deals for us), stage, arrange for contractors and repairs, get city permits, move furniture, help arrange cleaning, painting and remodeling and arrange for incredible photography and videography that will all help you in the sale of your home. The list of tasks they performed for us is almost infinite. They understand how stressful and time consuming the process of buying, selling, updating, staging, moving and financial arrangements can be for the buyer and seller. We tried to take care of so many of the details of the move ourselves. Despite our best efforts there were still many tasks for which we did not have the time, energy or knowledge. Never worry! Kevin and Erin, to our amazement and relief, would jump in and take care of innumerable tasks we thought were our personal responsibility. They made time to get these tasks done when we were busy, stressed, working our jobs, taking care of our kids and had no time! They work hard to negotiate every aspect of a deal as a fair "win-win" for both buyer and seller so that all are happy at the end of the deal. Communication with Kevin and Erin is always open, thorough, immediate and complete. They will continually email, text, call you on the phone and meet you in person depending on your preference or the nature of the communication that needs to be accomplished. Everything is explained thoroughly. Though there are an incredible number of details in any real estate transaction, Team McGinnis makes it as streamlined as possible. We always felt they were on our side, selflessly working for us and the needs of our purchase and sale all hours of the day and night. Team McGinnis are truly two Above and Beyond Realtors who will amaze you with their coordinated efforts throughout every aspect of the purchase and/or sale process which can often take unexpected turns along the way -- Kevin and Erin being masters at negotiating resolution. Erin and Kevin helped my mother and I find wonderful homes - all during Covid! Between the two of us, we worked with Team McGinnis to sell, purchase, and rent several homes and we couldn't have asked for more attentive, patient, hardworking partners in the process. They are incredibly knowledgeable and their instincts are spot-on. When it came to pricing and negotiations, I felt that their advice was well thought-out and they weighed the pros and cons with us so we had a full picture of the deal. Erin staged the homes, which took a huge load off of us and she helped arrange inspections with reputable companies. I really appreciated her honesty - she had confidence and faith that the right property would emerge, and she was correct. I appreciated Kevin's feedback when it came to pricing and negotiations - his approach is fair, which makes the process less contentious and more about getting the deal done. Phone calls and e-mails were answered quickly and problems were addressed without delay. Requests for assistance were addressed Immediately including a ride to and from the title company (by Kevin) on the day we had to have our car serviced. No request was to small for them and the feeling we had was that our sale and needs were top priority. We would enthusiastically recommend Team McGinnis to anyone selling their home. read more

Kevin and Erin got amazing results for us. What seemed like a long shot, they made possible! We needed to sell our large house in Novato, and I didn't know if we could sell it for the price we wanted. A friend referred me to Kevin and Erin, and they knew the market so well that I felt confident going forward. Not only did the house sell quickly, it sold for more money that I thought was possible. In order to sell the house for the most money, they focus a lot on property preparation, and they directed me every step of the way about the right things to do to get it ready. Then Erin staged the house, which they do as part of their service, and it really looked great. They go above and beyond in their marketing, too. I have wanted to move for five years. I put it off since I did not want to deal with the selling process. I finally decided to bite the bullet and contacted Kevin and Erin. I was nervous about getting the house ready and hearing all that needed to be done to get it looking right. It is a very personal issue. Erin was great with staging and never made me feel my house was not done right. She worked with what I had and made it look perfect. I was worried about having open houses. I hated the idea of people going through my house. Kevin put my mind at rest and let me know that he would do what I wanted. Not once did Kevin or Erin put their needs first. It was always to put me at ease. After the broker's open we had two offers both over ask! The closing process was crazy due to the buyer. We had quite the journey as I followed their suggestions and did some kitchen updating and a master bath flooring project before the sale. They went the extra mile time and again during pre-sale improvements, partnering with me 100% and then some. Erin's staging was superb and really sealed the deal when it came time to show.
