I moved in on September 1st, 2024. Just today, November 19, 2025, I received this text from Kari,…read more"I have found that there was never a security deposit billed to your account at move in. I have billed it now and we can set up a payment plan if need be. Let us know." Over a year later?! Now I have to search through my own paperwork to prove them wrong, OVER 14 MONTHS later?? It's a clear indication that they are extremely disorganized, at the very least. Messy. With nasty temperaments. I do not trust them, they are clearly no one's 'friend'. If you do rent from them, keep METICULOUS records. They WILL try to gouge you for every nickel they can steal from you. Kari is the person who responds with rude comments to all of Oak Grove's many, many negative reviews on Google. Maybe she should spend more time organizing her records, and less time being rude on Google? https://www.attorneygeneral.gov/submit-a-complaint/consumer-complaint/

I am the new property owner of the home that Jamee's son Owen rented. I didnt really have any…read moreintention of ever writing a review or otherwise having this ever aired in public but Jamee's review was brought to my attention so I figured I would say something. On the day of my closing of my house I was asked by the sellers realtor from Oak Grove if I would be keeping any of the security deposit of the two tenants. I expressed that I was giving it all back to which multiple times the sellers agent suggested I keep a large portion. I am not a landlord just someone buying his first home I did not want any drama. I told her this and she proceeded to make a comment along the lines of "You should keep at least half it teaches them a lesson they are young and need to be taught character or how the world works". That isnt an exact quote but it contains the essence of what she said. I was naturally fairly offput by this and I mentioned it to my tenants and ensured them I would be giving back their full deposit. I want to make sure anyone who reads this understands that what she was suggesting while not very appropriate in my opinion was in no way shape or form illegal. I read through the tenant contract and the amount of stipulations in it that would result in withholding deposits were a lot. If I chose to I could have legally kept every cent of the deposit based on the contract. I dont think some of those conditions are fair but nobody forced anyone to sign it. Now that its come to this point I will explain the two star review based on my experience. My home was set to close at the end of March it was an FHA loan. The appraiser determined that there were about 12 areas that had chipped paint that needed redone to pass FHA. The sellers agent asked for a 3 week extension in order to get it done then proceeded to wait around 2 weeks to even start the work. Sort of understandable due to rainy weather although majority was indoor painting. She proceeded to contact my bank and appraiser without even letting us know when the job wasnt completed wasting everyones time. Because of this it barely was ready for the new closing day. Outside of personality I would at least expect a realtor to be competent enough to check the work done before jumping the gun bypassing the buyer and wasting the banks time. Im a first time homebuyer so maybe this is standard for the industry but all of this left a bad taste in my mouth. I probably wouldnt even look at a house represented by them again not to mention using them as an agent.

Absolute slum lords. We were told we couldn't move in early because the cleaning company was…read morescheduled to clean the apartment. We moved in to complete filth, an apartment that was supposed to be fully furnished, had nothing but broken, beat up furniture. We've had 2 different occasions where pipes have busted and caused leakage through our ceilings ruining personal items. 1 occasion they had no option but to fix it, never returning to paint the new drywall, the other occasion they turned the water in the building off and never came back to our apartment. The refrigerator was leaking freon and after arguing, yelling and crying for 3 hours we finally got a new one. All in all, these people treat their rents like we're oblivious college students. They should be ashamed of themselves considering their prices, too.

Our experience with Putt Real Estate was a disaster from start to finish. We Wally Putt admitted…read moreto not answering phone calls from our home inspector for our new home for almost two weeks which caused a massive delay. We then found out 3 days before closing we needed a roof installed on our home. We already had a contract on our home we were selling and our closing date for the new one was pushed back SIX WEEKS. Had it not been for the amazing previous home owner we were buying from allowing us to stay in the home during the roofing project we would have been scrambling to find housing and were essentially homeless on paper for that time frame. We've talked to several people who have had similar instances with Wally and it all seems to come back to him not wanting to split commission so he will not ask anyone to fill in. He went out of the state and didn't tell anyone when he knew we had paperwork needing to be signed. He left us sitting in limbo when negotiating offers. When questioned about it he becomes combative and outright rude to homebuyers and their real estate representatives. I highly recommend steering clear of anything having to do with Wally Putt himself. The other agents at the office are perfectly respectful and this shouldn't reflect poorly on them.
