I received three calls from the same recruiting agency in a single day--each from a different recruiter who had no idea I had already spoken to someone else earlier. The first recruiter, Emily, pitched a job to me, saying I would be a perfect fit and that I should email her colleague, Rich, with a list of questions and an explanation of why I would be a top candidate.
After taking the time to carefully compose my email with the requested information, I then received a second call--this time from another recruiter at the same agency. She had no idea I had already applied and pitched me the same job, again stating that I would be a great match and should email Rich, her husband/ colleague.
The next day, I received an email saying:
"Unfortunately, at this time, they will not be moving forward with you.
While it is not the answer, we both wanted to hear, it is the news I have today."
