Great customer service, have to sign waivers of course and the prices weren't that bad. Adults and kids ride separately at different time, and the adults go karts are very fast. For kids, they need to be 39" or above, my son is 4 and this was his first time riding in a go karts let alone drive one himself. I was nervous and explained to the worker this would be his first. The young man was polite and help explain to my son how to work the go karts. The "mini karts" go at a different speed which put me at easy, and my wife and I were so happy seeing our son driving on his own. The arcade was great, lots of fun games. She was extremely unprofessional with us when I inquired about why our lanes kept getting shut off. She informed us that there was no card on file. I explained that we normally pay up front so we aren't required to put a card on file, but this time we were unsure of how many games we were going to bowl. I mentioned to her that it would have been more professional if she had just told us about the policy. But instead of informing us she (Courtney) kept playing games by turning our lanes off and acting as if she (Courtney) didn't do it, and proceeded to blame it on other employees (her subordinates). In the midst of our conversation, she sarcastically said "just make sure you put a card on file", after my daughter had already put a card on file due to the lanes shutting off. Let me say this, we never have had a problem paying and we never leave without settling our bill. Also, I am beginning to think that she is treating us poorly because my daughter Chelsie Lane left a review about her (Courtney's) attitude. I was under the impression that reviews are a welcomed source of constructive criticism and an opportunity to shine light on the exceptional service we usually receive. Your patrons/customers should be able to be honest. We the customers should not have to worry about intimidation or retaliation for speaking the truth. This is the first time I have ever experienced this kind of disrespectfulness and unprofessionalism from ANY Bowlero employee. This is the first time I have been the victim of retaliation, which saddens me and truly tarnishes our relationship with Bowlero. Over the years since we've been bowling at Bowlero on the league, we have seen employees including management come and go. This is the first time I have been harassed like this, and it breaks my heart to think that this is the new face of management for PSL Bowlero/Lucky Strikes. Long story short, instead of assuming we would possibly run out without paying our bill, all she had to do was ask us to put a card on file. After this stressful interaction, it makes me wonder what the true intent was behind her behavior. Was it retaliation or racism? Did she assume we were going to leave without paying because we're African American? With the rate of credit/debit card fraud, some people are uncomfortable providing a card to put on file. I was only looking for her to portray the kind of customer service you provide when you care about the work you do and the service you provide. I had to call yesterday and let them know only one other child is coming and ask to convert the package to just a lane reservation. Unfortunately none of the kids invited were available. We get there today and they inform us their staff pitched in and paid for the birthday package that today was on them. The technician had a brand new pin and they all signed it. Our hearts were absolutely full. Every once in a while through all the hardships in this world, our faith gets restored in humanity. Our son had a wonderful twelfth birthday. It's a shame to see someone so dedicated struggling because of a lack of management support. Like why would you not schedule someone else in the kitchen? And literally leave the stress on one person. I really hope the management realizes how hard their employees are working and provides more help, because a good experience for customers often starts with a well-supported staff.
