This entire "bank deserves zero stars…read more
You would be ill-advised to consider Northway Bank as your choice to handle your banking needs. Not only are the staff unhelpful, inconsiderate, and painfully, baptismally dismissive of the needs of their clientele, but are utterly incompetent and incapable of handling the most basic if tasks involved in their jobs.
I say these things not out of cruelty, or anger, but out of objectivity.
When I closed my account half a decade ago, the person with whom I entrusted to do their job, failed. This led to a five year long open checking account, unknown to me. A sudden flag alerted me to this issue and upon speaking with their collections "department" (I ascertain that this is made up of a single, nasty, rude, dismissive, and scorned woman, whom, thankfully, I only had the misfortune of communicating with over the phone, for surely in person one look at her and I would become another statue amongst her curation).
Since this is an unprecedented time with unemployment peaking and bills reaching up to shut-off notices and evictions, my request was simple; since I could not remember the name of the person who was supposed to close my account from five years ago, I asked for the overdraft fee be waived, in light of the aforementioned issues, as well as other, stressors involved in this matter, but not only was I denied, but I was spoken down to in a likeness which felt comparable to being spit onto my face. It was, to say the least, unnecessarily lacking in any trace if human decency, and the sniveling smile that I felt make my spine shudder for she was concentrating the dark-effects of that evil soul through the telephone directly at my heart and almost reached it with the hate she had initially started with before I had uttered a word. My escape from such a negative and truly inhumane was equal to that of Hercules conquering the monster Hydra.
Never again will I falter and release such a demon into my domain. I urge you to head my tale and potentially release that beast into your world.
