This Is a negative 1 review as it's that bad. This bank is worthy of a negative 1 rating as they have no empathy in regards to customers having a crisis in the middle of the night and later being told you should call before 9 pm when the call center closes. Backstory.....on the way to Atlanta my car started having problems at 10 pm....I stopped at the nearest rest stop and decided to use my rewards points (which I have never used in over 5 years of being a customer) and booked a nearby hotel....I received a confirmation number that the booking was successful and it noted a confirmation email will be sent to me. After about 10 minutes I went to the hotel and tried to check in and was told no reservation is in their system for me....I checked my email and saw that no email was sent to me either in spam or junk or regular inbox. I gave the clerk my confirmation number from the bank and was told that couldn't be used as the hotel only uses bookings through its own reservation system and that a confirmation number wouldn't reflect on his system either (which makes sense). I waited nearly an hour to see if any email would come In or if the hotel would get the booking on their system...no such luck and I couldn't sit in their lobby all night waiting on an email. I went to another hotel ....paid for a reservation the regular way and spent the night. I called TD Bank rewards center with the complaint after I got home....they took my number and said they will call me back. After a few hours I received a call back and was told nothing can be done since I didn't call the customer support number before 9 pm to assist with resolving the issue.....I explained to the agent that I broke down at 10 pm so I couldn't have called either way and asked about why the hotel never received any booking for me even though my points were deducted from my account....she said she is sorry to hear that but since I didn't call before 9 pm there is nothing they can do....no refund on the points and they couldn't assist with a rebooking. I am very disappointed with the experience and feel robbed of my points which I have built up over the 5 years with the bank as the hotel never received anything from them and was told no consideration can be given on the matter. this is literally one of the worst td banks I've ever been to. I waited over an hour just for a debit card. and they were fully staffed they just didn't want to assist. in addition to that they were racist. a white lady came in after me and they assisted her before me when I've been waiting. a five minute task took over an hour because they refuse to help a black women. read more

Horrible Bank! I should have wrote this review a long time ago. Well my experience with him was I had a $1,700 error from a teller who wanted to debate about my money. But this is nothing compared to the next one. Went to the ATM one day to check my account and there was a $50,000 deposit which was not my money. What a disappointment in this TD location. Went in to get change for the meter since White Plains is meter central and proceeded to ask for change of a few dollars. The teller asks if I have an account which I do and then questions my name on my debit card stating it's a mans name as if I am trying to deceive her to get two dollars worth of quarters. This bank has gotten worse. Everytime I request money bank that don't give me what I want. I wanted quaters. They said the have shortage of quaters that i could only get one roll. Another time i needed 20 dollar bills they said they don't have 20 dollar bills could only give me 5 dollar bill. The ATM that is outside is always down. There are potholes as you drive in that have never been fixed for years. What is management doing. Probably worrying what's for lunch. read more

My experience with TD Bank has been so different than the majority of the people commenting. I have had courteous, fast, friendly service from the vast majority of tellers and the CS Reps and have gotten to know them by name as they have mine. When I had a concern about a check deposit that I made on a Friday after hours, it was explained that the check actually would go in on Monday during regular banking hours and that the availability of funds would happen on Tuesday. I still can remember the days when I banked with another bank and it took an entire week for the funds to be available, so I guess that the convenience of being able to walk into a branch on weekends trumps the "inconvenience" that others may be experiencing. read more

Today, unfortunately I had to go to fix a problem that I have with my debit card and I felt the most discriminated against in all of White Plains. The bad attitude of the only person who was serving customers (According to him), the hour and a half I had to wait, without receiving any justification from the employee and above all when I was the next person to be attended, according to the text messages sent by the bank when you sign up for the waiting list; Another lady passed me in front of me and the bank clerk told her to go ahead and I was waiting and The teller said "If you feel want to, you can to keep waiting or go home and come back later. Thank God, another employee came out from the back of the Bank and she take me, I don't know where she came from, but thank God she was able to resolve my situation. I want to clarify that in this branch, there are always employees with a bad attitude, rude to customers and disrespectful. Initially this was "the convenient bank" with long hours, great products and good customerservice, NOT ANY MORE! Several times I caught errors in my accounts. Calling the branch, the same cs rep continued to have difficulty reading account information, seeing errors, AND had the nerve to inappropriately comment on the personal nature of my transactions and related creditors. I made my shock and anger in her lack of knowledge and comments very clear, followed by a formal complaint. (This was not 1 x!) I deposited several checks at the branch ATM and later found THIER ATM added $$ to this deposit, never advised me and deducted $$ from my account with no explanation alleging "It's your error not ours." Without advance notice, criteria for specific accounts, fees, etc were just changed and only discovered after being directly affected. Most recently, while in the branch to replace a damaged debt card, the rep tried to sell me a credit card, then a mortgage product and when told 100% ownership, a home equity loan/line of credit. Guess they're on commission. The hours are no better than other banks, their service is rude and substandard, no competitive products and there is simply no reason to continue banking here. "The most convenient bank" is now a sham, even living 1 block away this bank is more a problem than a convenience! I HIGHLY SUGGEST shopping around! Made a small deposit of cash (under $400) and the tell told me I'm $50 short - I def wasnt since i always double count before. Needless to say - I'm out $50 and the teller got a bonus. Do not make an account with TD BANK they are a horrible bank that doesn't automatically put cash deposits into your account. It is the only bank I have ever heard of that makes you wait until the next business day to HAVE UR CASH ACTUALLY GO INTO UR ACCOUNT. Customer service just repeats the same thing over and over again "well when you deposit a check into your account you have to wait a few days for it to actually go through" OKAY but we're talking about cash here. At 3pm on Saturday I deposited (into the ATM since the bank now closes at 2pm on Saturdays) 4 checks, totalling over $1,200, into my checking account. I took out $100. It is now 11:45pm on Monday. I checked my account on-line and, although it shows that I deposited the checks, none of the money is available yet. It shows the deposits as still "pending" and that I have an available balance of less than $10! This is absurd. Why didn't the deposit go through first thing this morning? I had a bad experience at this branch in the past. I deposited a check on a Saturday, shortly before closing-time. Their computers were being glitchy and really slow and I almost left without getting a receipt but stayed and waited several minutes to get it. On Friday (6 days later) I checked my account on-line and realized that there was less money in it than there should have been. After doing some calculations, I figured out that the amount missing was that of the check that I'd deposited. Went back to the bank on Saturday (a full week after I'd deposited it), talked to someone, and showed them the receipt. She went into the back of the bank and found my check and redeposited it. If I had been less observant, I would've been out the amount of that check. If I hadn't still had the receipt, I wouldn't have had any proof that I'd deposited the check since the transaction didn't show up on-line. This branch seems to have a lot of problems with their computers and ATMs. The ATM just inside the doors used to be under repair more than it was in-service. One time there was a long line in the bank and one of the tellers walked me outside and showed me how to deposit checks in the new ATM in the farthest drive-in lane. That's pretty bad, when they're telling you to go outside and use the ATM rather than waiting for them. When I first joined TD it was because they had such great hours, open 'til 8pm on weekdays and 3pm on weekends. Now they close at 5pm Mon. - Wed., 7pm Thurs. & Fri., and 2pm on Sat. Not quite as great. Another thing that really bugs me is that the tellers insist on calling customers by their first name. I absolutely HATE that! Sorry but we are not "pals." I am a client, you are providing me with a service. We do not know each other. We are NOT on a first-name basis. It's too-familiar, it's phony, and it's ANNOYING! read more

Below one star! Pathetic! My son and daughter in law went in to apply for a mortgage. The mortgage advisor followed through with the paper work and promises that they were highly qualified. After credit checks and all was approved, and putting a deposit down on a house, 2 months go by stringing them along. Now they're told that they don't qualify for the mortgage loan. I have used this bank (and this branch) for my Business banking since it was Commerce Bank. Being open 7-days is great for me because I run a retail business and being able to get change for the register on a Sunday is great. I have had great interaction with the staff and for the most part they are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend TD. read more

The service here was horrible! Nobody was polite to me and wanted me out as fast as I walked in. There are so many problems when it came to MY money & the least she could have been was empathetic and polite but instead I got a rude demeanor. it's only cause this bank chain has weekend hours is my reason for having an account and ok maybe the free pens, lollipops and dog biscuits for the mutts helps as well. when i am in white plains this was my spot to have fun with the kiddie friendly coin change machine but after the liberal lawyers stated that the machines were short changing customers a few cents the machines were gone quicker then latoya jacksons singing career . i never have to wait long cause the lines are short and tellers are friendly and quick. the lobby area has 4 atms for 24 hour use plus this bank chain is famous for longer evening hours then any other bank chains. i like td bank and it is really america's most convenient bank. read more
