Quiet Saturday Morning , I needed some cash so I went into TD and used their Machine because the branch is about 2 blocks from my home . The machine only had $20 or $50 but I figure I would go to the teller as there was only 1 person in line and 2 people at the window . For whatever reason it took about 15 min . When it finally was my turn the teller all the way to the left , I asked for $60 in $5 and the rest in singles . She said do you have an account I said no but I showed her the ATM receipt which also had the $3.50 cost to me she still said no . So I went to chase and had no problem . So you decide if you want a bank like TD in your Neighborhood . I know I don't !! read more

I have spells where I use this branch a lot. ATM always works for me. They keep it warm in the entrance when it's cold out. One time it was way too warm! I find that the employees here are not as friendly as other locations. I attribute this to the crazy busy area it is located. I've waited in long lines when it gets busy. I'm sure the employees get tired and annoyed. Plus they do not have all the glass protection like they do at Chase Banks!! They are dog friendly providing treats and water. This comes in handy in hot summer days. Basically this location is like the other TD Bank. This one is just very busy and hectic. When you need service expect a wait. I went into the TD Bank on 3rd Avenue at 96th St. to get information about opening a checking account. The TD brand is "Unexpectedly Human" which seems to mean rude, unhelpful, uninterested and unaccommodating. I couldn't get anyone to help me, even though the bank was empty and employees were standing around chatting with each other. The rudest and most unhelpful one was Eudora Saunders, who is apparently the bank manager. Unbelievable. I went to another bank to open my checking account. Don't bank here. The manager Diane and the security guard left me in tears. They called the police on me and closed my account...this is because I showed up at 1:30 pm on an afternoon that the bank closed at 2:00. The security guard informed me that customer service can't help me because they close soon. But I had called ahead and was assured I would be able to get my card replaced as long as I made it before 2. I called because I am handicapped and it is a great effort to get to the bank. So I explained that I had to be helped and they were very rude about that. Diane said, "I will help you cause I'm not about to argue" Eventually, she decided my paperwork wasn't in order and she couldn't help me. But the RUDENESS! And when I was justifiably upset at the treatment I was given, and explained I want cash removed, she had security call the police to have me removed. When I decided I better record, the security guard said, "ME TOO" and recorded me with his phone, complete with a bright light shining at my face. The whole scene was humiliating. The police came in, quickly sided with me, and Diane finally gave me my money. In her anger, she banned me from the bank. This doesn't seem fair, since this is the only bank I have dealt with for years. My nurse goes to get my money from this bank. We don't really even know where else to go. My handicap does not allow me to go running around here and there. The strange thing is, before my handicap happened, I was always treated nicely! They seemed to dislike working too close to closing time and dislike working with the vulnerable or disabled. Escalating the matter was useless. TD MAY be the most convenient bank. Then this branch is least friendly. There's nothing worst than people telling you that the web page, which you and the bank drones are looking at, doesn't say what the words on it actually say. Then there's the issue of asking them what exactly a document listed on their website actually is, and they continue tell you they need a document not listed there. Dog bowl filled with water also on site so they love the pooches. Clean and modern decor. Penny arcade change exchange machines on site to dump my buckets of coins. This location is absolutely horrible. I have been a business banker customer for 12 years - TD will continue to lose customers at this right. You would expect a bank to be better at this - I was given a location to help with a transfer. I tried to call the number below for multiple days and finally go through to someone - I believe it was the store manager who claims that she did not know you and would not be able to do the transfer for me. She asked if I can go into ny own location and when I explained its not opened and her location was given to me, plus I am 6 months pregnant and in self-quarantine. I mentioned that I had been a business banking customer for 12 years with and she said she can't help - after putting me on hold 3 times then hung up on me. I am deeply disappointed with this - I will try to initiate this online but was told that i have to go in which cannot happen with these extreme circumstances - i would expect some kind of help - she didn't ask me to for any info - just repeatedly said can't help you. I visited in November and the representative that assisted me, Ms. Inderpreet Kundi, was so professional and so nice that I probably took too much of her time and I know she was probably busy. Definitely America's MOST INCONVENIENT Bank! Understaffed and long slow lines. Now with REDUCED HOURS!! In 2016, TD Bank tested out their first round of reduced hours, and in 2017 they reduced their hours even further. in this time of crisis , it's good to know that your bank has your back . Last week , I had to actually go to a physical TD store . I had to transfer funds internationally and also had put funds into my account with a debit card from another bank . I went to the 3rd Ave & 85th Street branch (one of a handful of TD banks open in Manhattan) - Waited a few minutes - was admitted - and took care of my business within 15 minutes ! I went to TD bank for a refinance of my home . After being a "conditional approval" , I was told 6 weeks later , that's right 6 weeks later that my loan wasn't approved bc of my income. Fair enough but it took 6 weeks for an income check . Waste of time and effort . Ridiculous ! read more

THE WORST BANK EVER Worst costumer service I have ever received, what one says is different from others. My biggest mistake was to open a credit card with them because the branch manager lied to me that they have the best balance transfer for 4%, meanwhile all other banks had it lower then that, like Chase 2%, Bank of America 3%, etcetera. The craziest thing is that they do not have 0% APR for the first year of opening the credit card like every other credit card in the world. I have very good credit and the best they could do was 18%APR meanwhile the max others offered me was 12%APR. I don't want to write more about them and lose my time, but STAY AWAY FROM TD BANK. There were so many bad experiences with this bank that now I love and appreciate every other credit card and their costumer service, rates, quality, fees and everything else they offer that TD Bank does not. read more

While I've never had anything but positive experiences with TD Bank in both the US and Canada, this location gave me nothing but trouble. I stopped in hoping to just withdraw some money from the ATM, but it was out of service. I went inside and waited on the line that was 6 people deep which even then was OK given it was midday. Then I realized there was only one teller working and a manager talking on her cell phone! As soon as she finished her conversation which did not sound work related (dinner plans?) I politely asked her if any more tellers or she could open. She said everyone else was out to lunch and that she HAD to stand by the door. I proceeded to wait until a woman speaking no English tried to withdraw money from an account of hers. The teller asked the manager for assistance and she said "Wait for Marco to get back." This bank should have its managers fired. 4 people behind the counter and 1 person being waited on. As I'm next I can see what appears to be the slowest transactions I've ever witnessed. Instead of acknowledging the delays 1 teller went to fill a copier with paper after 8 minutes( I started timing after 2 minutes) I get assisted by a teller who proceeds to take another 6 minutes to cash a TD Check. Only China has a slower moving process and that's not by much. read more

There always seems to be a line. The employees are moreorless always friendly but I end up waiting 20-30 minutes minimum to access my safety deposit box. I used to have this as my primary checking account but after multiple identity theft incidents, it is no longer. I try to just have the bare minimum in there. Today, I found that I was charged for a safety deposit box that I had closed despite having filled out all the paperwork of closing it. I find this to be rather grossly negligent on their part. I had to call the branch to figure this mess out. I am still waiting for them to get back to me. read more

Literally the worst bank in the world. Would give me fees for no reason and play games with me when I want to speak to the manager. Called 7 times saying I would get a call back. I gave it one more chance and called and they said they were busy, got the manager on the phone by saying who do I call to complain about her. Went into the store to close my account. Closed it. Two weeks ago I get a call from a fraud agency saying there has been activity on that card. They never closed my card. They are incompetent. Never using this bank again especially this horrible branch. Sticking with Capital One. They don't mess around and are always professional. I have been with TD Bank since it was Commerce. I initially started on 77th Street and 2nd Avenue and moved to 85th and #rd because the manager was transferred there. The store manager is a wonderful woman who has assisted me throughout the years with personal and business accounts. Lines of credit, loans to improve my business and many other financial matters. She is the best of the best! As far as long lines at the branch I can understand the complaints. I was always "old school" but now that I've moved into being more tech savvy I use the ATM for deposits, getting cash and all other areas that I can utilize the ATM. Opening up a checking account was super easy and quick. They also start you off with a box of free checks, which was really nice. I also like their change counter. If you correctly guess the amount, you also get a small prize (which is usually a refrigerator magnet). I've never had any problems with the few times I've had to go to a teller, besides the line being on the long side most of the time. This branch always runs out of pens and sometimes deposit envelopes in the ATM area, so if they're closed and you need to make a deposit, you might be screwed. I wish they'd keep better care of the ATM area, especially for deposits. Otherwise, I'd just opt for a bank that has envelope-less ATMs. read more

The "Store Supervisor" (that's actually what it says on his business card!) rarely answers his phone (and it is not possible to leave a message), nor does he reply to e-mails in a timely fashion (if he replies at all). Literally the worst TD bank branch ever. The space is HUGE, and about 10% staffed on any given day. Huge waits for customer service. The tellers are nice enough, but this particular branch is a massive fail and I would avoid it at all costs if you actually want anything done. During my last trip in here, there were 0 customer service reps in sight -- 0. One manager walking the floor who was super nice (Anthony) , but no one working and a line of 10 people waiting for various things. He said that a staff of 3 went downstairs for a "meeting" -- at 5:20pm. Prime time. All I needed was a debit card that I could not get at 2 other Td banks on the west side, because their card maker machines were broken. TD started out good, they have gone downhill fast. There were two employees at desks where one goes to open a new account and maybe 2 other people in line. So I went in to get a direct deposit form and ask questions about opening up a savings account that I'm not allowed to touch so I can save and this rude short Asian guy with spiky hair named TONY decided to try and act like he's Daddy Warbucks when I approached him about the savings idea and say "what are you gonna do borrow money from people when you're broke and can't touch your account?" I opened an account here as I've been a TD customer for as long as I can remember and this branch is the closest to my place. This branch is by far the worst I've ever been in. The counter lines are always super long, and I've never seen more than 1 teller working at the counter, regardless of how many people is waiting in line or what time of the day I visit. The customer service agents are all useless. It took me 1.5 hours just to open a check-in account, and they can't answer simple question about credit card and visa card. You should avoid at all costs the tdbank on 85th and 3rd. I went in to set up a business checking and they told me it would be an hour to see anyone and to come back later. I did, and it took 1.5 hours to set up the account. After 24 days, I still did not receive checks. Additionally, I got a letter in the mail from my credit card saying my payment set up to my credit card couldn't be processed because of a bank issue. I called the bank and was put on hold, then was disconnected. I called back and spoke to someone who seemed helpful. He told me I needed to come in because the person who set up the account forgot to have me sign for checks. He said also at that time we will fix the issue with the credit card payment. We made an appointment for 5:30. I went in at 5:20 and was told he had already left! I asked to speak to the manager and they had me wait (as usual). Then, as I waited I saw the manager sitting at his desk, checking his computer, making calls. I approached him because I got tired of waiting. All this bank does is make you wait. I have to wait to cancel my account because I had just put a deposit in the ATM. To add insult to injury, I told the manager I would be in next friday to cancel the account and I didn't want to have to wait a long time. He told me that I needed to email him in advance to remind him. read more
