Apparently you are supposed to bring cash because she was so rude to me, since I didn't have cash. I offered to get cash from my other bank and she said she will do it this way. I was one of two customers in the bank (not busy). One customer pulled up to the drive thru. They rang for her while she was helping me and she got frustrated. She said to to me in a aggresive way, "That's why you...," then she pinches her lips together and holds her words, avoiding eye contact with me till the moment I left. I was friendly the entire time. Even after she tried to scold me. I can't express the anger I feel. I have never met someone so negative in my life. Very rude and unexceptional to treat a customer this way. The sending bank Meryl Lynch/Bank of America, has never encountered that requirement before and doesn't even have space in their wire transfer form to put it in. Did my bank notify me to tell me it was rejected? No! After constantly checking my account to see if the money was there, I called the bank. I needed that money to put an offer on a home that day. By the time I found out it was too late in the day to rectify the situation. I now have to wait over the 3 day holiday weekend to get my money!! This inane policy and lack of customer service could lose me my dream home. Being desperate, I asked if they could at least send me an email stating what happened so I could show to the seller the money was going to be on its way. The bank did not come up with that solution. I did. I am contemplating changing banks. I have learned a lesson to be proactive and not rely on my bank. Why would a bank place a requirement like home address on a wire when the wire already has my routing and account number on it? Stupid rule and one that just might lose me my dream house.
