Time and time again their staff have gone above and beyond to take care of my financial needs in a patient, efficient and considerate manner. I've never been treated so well in any other bank, you'd think I was investing millions with the kind of service I get there. I have owned a home in Cranbrook for four years, with my mortgage being held by The T.D. Bank. The branch is on Victoria Ave. Recently, I went in to ask for a loan for some improvements on my home. As we speak I have at least 100 k. in equity. I was asking for 60 k. Since I have been dealing with this bank I have not missed a payment. The financial adviser, Stacey Hallgren, was the woman who reviewed by request for the loan. She was cordial, and listened to my story, and took down the required information to move on with the loan. I really didn't think I would be turned down, for this loan, for improvements on my home, which the bank owns with me.. A week passed before I heard from Stacey, to my dismay tells me that I do not qualify for the loan. What a crock. She went on to tell me, on the first meeting that when I renew my mortgage, next May, that after the loan, my payments wouldn't have been much more, less than a hundred dollars more. Doesn't make any sense to me, and I am really disappointed in the T.D. Bank on a whole. So much for the bank that holds your mortgage, helping you with an equity loan. read more
