From the very beginning, she was professional, organized, and incredibly thoughtful. She quickly understood our vision and priorities, and then went above and beyond to make sure every detail came together seamlessly. What really stood out was her ability to manage all of the moving parts with such calm confidence. She kept us on track with timelines, vendor communication, and budgeting, and on the wedding day itself, she was a true lifesaver--handling logistics behind the scenes so we could actually relax and enjoy the celebration. Brittany has a great balance of creativity and practicality. She had so many clever ideas that elevated the day, but she also knew how to keep us grounded when decisions felt overwhelming. Her vendor recommendations were fantastic, and her relationships in the industry made everything run smoother. Our guests kept commenting on how flawless the day felt, and that's 100% thanks to Brittany and her team. If you're looking for a planner who is detail-oriented, responsive, and genuinely cares about making your day perfect, Brittany is the one.

When I was first looking around for a wedding planner over a year ago, I was a little hesitant to…read moresign up with AJ because there were no online reviews. So now that all the wedding craziness is over, I thought I should post something about how great AJ and her crew are. As out-of-towners planning a small (36 guest) wedding in Anna Maria, we were looking for someone who could help us with planning and also provide that crucial local knowledge--where to get flowers, where to rent a sound system, etc. From our first meeting with AJ, we knew we'd made a good choice. She is warm, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable about both wedding planning and all aspects of the local area. I know she has lots of clients, but I really felt like she took the time to listen to us, get to know who we were, and make sure that we ended up with the exact vibe we wanted: casual and beach-y, but still classy. We had AJ's team handle all three of our events (a welcome party the night before, the wedding itself, and a brunch), and they provided planning, rentals, staging, AND all the food for all the parties. It was a great option for us and it took away a lot of the stress of trying to put all the pieces together ourselves. Since we live over 1000 miles away, I had to rely on AJ to make a lot of the decisions, including choosing new linens after prices went up and we had to change suppliers. She took our invitation as inspiration and selected the PERFECT table settings--I can honestly say that she could not have chosen anything that was more perfect or that I would have liked better. From the beginning of the first party, we were blown away by how beautiful everything was and how smoothly it all went. AJ has a great eye for detail, and she is really good at choosing decorations that complement the natural setting. Our Welcome party was a backyard picnic, very casual, but she added funky details like lanterns and picnic cloths that really elevated the look. All of the design elements associated with the wedding itself were creative and cool. The day before the wedding, she e-mailed me a photo of a driftwood arch she'd made for a photo shoot earlier in the week and asked me if we wanted to use it for our ceremony. We'd been planning on standard bamboo, but as soon as I saw the photo I decided to go with the driftwood! She even added pearls to the arch to echo the pearls on my dress. All of the food was excellent. We did a cocktail hour with passed appetizers, followed by a buffet dinner with a Caribbean BBQ theme. Unlike with a traditional caterer, AJ's team does all the cooking on-site, so everything is fresh. The food isn't overly complicated, just top-of-the-line ingredients and great flavor combinations. All four passed appetizers were awesome, and the chimichuri sauce they made was one of the best things I've ever tasted. One note: Although AJ's team provides food, you supply your own alcohol--which is great from a cost perspective, but it can be a bit of a hassle if you're from out of town. In short, AJ knows what she's doing, and her team goes way beyond the cookie-cutter stuff you see everywhere. If you're looking for something elegant with unique design elements, I don't think you could make a better choice. The only real complaint I could make is that communication in terms of quotes and costs is not as clear and polished as you might get with a larger company--you need to be on your toes and make sure that what you've requested is accurately reflected in quotations and that sort of thing. But for us at least, the quality and personal service that we got from AJ was well worth any additional effort on our part to keep up with the quotes.

We held our rehearsal dinner at the Riverhouse for my son and daughter-in-law's wedding the next…read moreday. About 30 guests were in attendance. We chose this venue because of it's location in proximity to the wedding (Baker's Ranch), the price, the menu, and mostly because of the room itself and the views of the sunset over the Manatee River. When we first met with Cindi many months ago, she already knew the time of sunset on March 9. That speaks for itself. We set the end of cocktail hour to coincide with that time, and worked everything backwards from there for the rehearsal. The sun cooperated on the day of the event and everything was magical. We choose an open bar, appetizers, and a menu of about five entrees. The food was all very good, but I wouldn't call it excellent. The mahi-mahi was a tad too done. The brisket was close to excellent. I didn't have the island tacos, but heard they were a hit. The coconut shrimp was perfect. So a mix. Appetizers were generous. We selected "premium level" beer and wine and liquor for the bar. Mostly I was happy with that choice - good beer and liquor, except I felt that the Chardonnay options brought it down a notch. We asked for a slightly better Chardonnay, and the best we could get was still not so great. Wine lovers need a little more value in an event like this, and a better white would help to improve the overall value of the premium selection. The venue and the staff are the reason the rating is high. Cindi was very helpful and accommodating from the time we first met in the fall, but really showed her professionalism on the night of the event. She and her team were friendly and helpful, paying attention to detail and flexible in meeting our needs. Big kudos to the staff!

We had many special requests for our ceremony such as a ring warming, a circle isle, readings, and a script for the minister. He walked us through each step and let us know the pros and cons of each. The end result was beautiful and we owe that to Tadd. He was so attentive the day of the wedding and his attention to detail was spot on. He makes it look easy!! Planning a destination wedding from DC, we thought we were hiring someone just to walk us through the big day, but what we got was SO MUCH MORE Tadd used to be an event coordinator with the Lido Beach Resort, and recently branched out on his own; this means he knows the ins and outs of wedding coordination from all perspectives, and already had established relationships with most of our vendors. We knew from our first Skype conversation that he was going to make the whole experience as stress-free as possible, and we were never wrong. He started working with us months in advance. From building the wedding day timeline to liaising with our vendors to helping with the seating chart to answering every single question we threw at him (and there were many) to having to deliver the worst news you can give a bride on the day of her beach wedding - that it will rain and the ceremony might have to move inside (it didn't, and everything was perfect). . . .Tadd did it all with outstanding patience and cheer, responsiveness, organization, and for an *incredibly* reasonable price. He is so much more than just a "Day-of" coordinator. The actual day of, he was there with us every step of the way, and had an assistant as well, for when he needed to be at two places at once. This is a guy whose business deserves to thrive! I wish I lived in Sarasota and threw lots of parties - he would be on my speed dial (if that were still a thing) to plan them all. We looked at several other DOCs in the area, that were larger and more established, and there is not a single thing I regret about going with Tadd instead.

The ease of use combined with their diverse inventory was a great asset as we reimagined our wedding space based on their unique seating options. After a couple rounds of Q&A with their team, we finalized our agreement. Dealing with Melissa was wonderful. Even though our event was smaller than most, she made us feel like a priority. Communication was great for delivery. The crew showed up early and was done faster than expected. We had a large dance floor assembled on some fairly uneven ground. The team did a great job making it very flat. We did get some rain on the floor but it dried very easily with a few towels and it really was in excellent condition. We also rented a dozen benches that were a great addition to our set up. They looked brand new. The next day the crew was in and out for pickup. However, it should be well noted that the end result was largely based on the efforts of our family and friends. While the lights provided by the venue contributed enormously to the ambiance of the evening, a lot of effort was put in by us to make the event memorable. We needed to clean the bathrooms, the tables provided were in bad shape and we needed to roll them out and set them up. Many of the table cloths they provided were stained and unusable. We had an issue with some of the lights not working and Rick (the owner) did come out and was able to fix them; however it would have been appreciated if someone had come out to check in and see how things were going. Bottom line, you can have a beautiful event here, but know you will have to put in the effort so consider it a DIY event. And for all that, 25$ taken out of our deposit!
