As first-time…read morehome buyers, we were navigating a lot of uncertainty, and she made the entire process feel grounded and manageable. She is incredibly knowledgeable about each neighborhood, from the nuances of location to comps and shifting market dynamics. What really stood out was how Yesenia helped us think clearly and never pushed us in any direction, but instead guided us toward defining what our dream home truly looked like. That clarity made all the difference when it came time to act. In a highly competitive and constantly changing market, Yesenia helped us put together a strong, thoughtful offer strategy. Yesenia was patient throughout our months-long search, always responsive, and consistently kind. We genuinely enjoyed working with her-our vibe just clicked from day one. Even after our offer was accepted, her support didn't stop. From contract to close (and even beyond), she was there every step of the way, which meant a lot to us as first-time buyers.

As my wife and I looked to purchase our first home, we were concerned the San Francisco market may be too much for us. Too expensive. Too fast. Too stressful. All of it. Luckily, we connected with Val and the Krishnan team after seeing some of their YouTube videos. Through the use of data, Val showed we could live in the city that means so much to us. Her knowledge of the area seemed so thorough that it gave us the confidence to move forward. By going off-market and showing us a condo that exceeded our expectations, we almost immediately found the home that brought the sense of peace we were searching for. During the whirlwind of stress to acquire it over the next 24 hours after viewing, Val was incredibly responsive and kind. We now have the place of our dreams and Val's efforts could not be understated. We are very appreciative.

We knew what we wanted (classic SF character, water views, a walkable and vibrant neighborhood) but had no clear sense of where to find it all or how to think about our budget. We needed more than a real estate agent; we needed someone who could help us find the dream itself. Danielle Lazier at Vivre Real Estate became our buyer's agent, and she was exactly that person. She listened carefully, zeroed in quickly on what would feel like home to us, and brought real clarity to how our budget aligned with home values on the ground. She was direct and always available, without ever making us feel rushed. We found a stunning co-op apartment in Russian Hill with breathtaking views. Danielle's strategic pricing advice helped us craft a winning offer, and her expertise navigating the additional complexities of a co-op transaction was invaluable. She connected us with excellent vendors, guided us through contingencies, and kept us calm through closing. If you're a home buyer trying to navigate San Francisco's uniquely complex real estate market, there is no one more qualified to have in your corner. She turned a vague old dream into our actual home, and we couldn't be more grateful.

Danielle and her team guided us through the process with patience, giving us the time we needed to truly understand the market and making sure we settled on a place we genuinely loved. As the years passed, work brought us to Asia, and once it became clear we would not be returning to San Francisco, we made the decision to sell. Holding a property from thousands of miles away carries real complexity -- practical, financial, and tax considerations alike. Despite the distance, Danielle delivered an excellent sale and her team executed a remarkably smooth and swift closing. Our notary signing was conducted entirely online, with my wife joining from Singapore and myself from Paris -- a seamless process across time zones. Thank you, Danielle and Vivre team.

We initially connected with her through our business school alumni network and already knew of her stellar reputation, as she had successfully helped two of our friends navigate their own home puchases/ sales in the city. The current SF market is moving incredibly fast--especially with the recent AI boom--and because inventory is so tight, finding accurate comps for a unique property can be a challenge. We had done a significant amount of "homework" before reaching out, but Laura's insight was invaluable. After working with her for a week, we were impressed by her market knowledge-- the data was well-supported by nuanced judgement that confirmed our own research and gave us much-needed confidence in our valuation. Ultimately, we decided not to put our home on the market at this time, but this process gave us a glimpse into the level of professionalism and expertise Laura brings to a real transaction. We would not hesitate to recommend her to any of our friends or colleagues looking for a sharp, reliable RE advisor in San Francisco.

She just sold a 2nd property for me and found a buyer in less than 2 weeks in a neighborhood where houses were staying on the market for month. I hesitated with putting it on the market but I had confidence that if anyone would be successful selling it, it would be Laura. The first property she sold for me was not in the greatest shape and Laura got way more (bidding war) than I thought it was worth and she sold that property quickly also.

We were nervous first-time home buyers, and had seen a condo we liked that was just listed, but didn't know any realtors. We cold emailed Kevin and Jonathan on Thursday night, had a video call later that night, read through the disclosures and worked out an offer plan that weekend, and by Monday morning our offer had been accepted. The speed they work at is insane! And yet at no point did we feel rushed into any decisions, because they are so thoughtful about laying out exactly what to watch out for, and what the upcoming steps will be. Not only that, but once we had the place they gave us a huge amount of information on doing renovations, and a big list of local contractors they recommend for each specific type of job. Kevin even drove us to his favorite lighting showroom, and introduced us to wood floor refinishers who were able to start that week. We're incredibly happy we found Kevin and Jonathan, and will be recommending them to all of our friends. Anyone looking to buy or sell in San Francisco would be lucky to work with them!

I do not recommend them to any owners looking to get efficient service to their tenants or properties. Over the several years that I lived in this apartment managed by Makras, responses usually took up more than a week to any emails or voicemails that were left for repairs for kitchen sinks, leaking from the rain on the back door, door repairs for doors that don't close, and keys for locks in an Edwardian home that used skeleton keys for the restroom and bathroom. When the building was being sold, the washing machine was full of quarters at and despite a dozen calls and emails, they did not remove the quarters from the machine for over 6 weeks, which was a violation of our lease and tenant rights. It took the real estate agent to be notified during the sale before they even removed the quarters. And when they did remove the quarters they did not notify any of the tenants. We had to email Viktor to ask in an email. I also had a unique breastfeeding shirt that was left in the washing machine that is now missing. The owners said that we should be receiving those quarters to replace the $10 I lose not realizing the machine was not working, but my shirt remains in the missing and we have yet to receive the quarters. Specifically we have been told to send emails to Maria for any building repairs. And in those last 5 weeks while the building was being sold I never received an email or call from her. I also had left messages on the general voicemail and for Viktor Makras and never received a call from him either. When finally someone did answer form reception, they told me to just email him or to leave a voicemail for him. And they said that the building was sold so it was none of their business anymore.

Makras Real Estate is a terrible company. I rented two apartments with them. For the first…read moreapartment, they changed the terms of the lease, removing yard access which was the whole reason I moved in since I have a dog. I had to negotiate for rent reduction, which was a small fraction of the rent. The landlord was nice and came by frequently, so I was able to talk with him about being let out of my lease if I found another place with a yard. I ended up finding a place with a yard also through Makras. The application process was easy since they already had my documents. I emailed with the leasing agent about having two dogs in the unit, and he approved. He noted "dog approved" on the lease. Then when I was fostering two puppies, VICTOR from Makras sent a letter in the mail saying there were complaints that I had three dogs. Luckily one was to be adopted that weekend, but I wrote an email to them that I was approved to have two dogs. A lengthy correspondence followed. VICTOR always sent a letter in the mail, a clear power play that only delayed the inevitable: I had an email stating that I could have two dogs and the note on the lease did not specify the number of dogs. Then when I moved out, they withheld a third of my security deposit for cleaning and painting. I emailed that the lease states that standard wear and tear should not be taken out of the security deposit. I also pointed out that the paint in the kitchen was peeled off by the trash can lid opening and closing and other simple things. One could literally scratch the wall and have paint come off. VICTOR MAKRAS sent back blurry pictures of the unit to prove that it was dirty. The pictures looked clean, and any dirt could not be seen due to the low quality of the pictures. Despite pointing these things out, Victor did not sway from his initial, WRONG decision not to return my security deposit in full. I DO NOT recommend working with this company.
