I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kathleen Behr and her entire team in Fresno…read more My experience began with Nayeli, who gathered my information and explained the available procedures and what might work best for me. She was knowledgeable, helpful, and made me feel comfortable from the beginning. The office stayed in contact with me, arranged a very convenient pre-procedure phone appointment, and coordinated my surgery date. When I arrived, everything went seamlessly. Cosmetic procedures are not inexpensive, and this was the most money I have ever spent on myself. I can honestly say it was also the best money I have ever spent. Until you go through a procedure like this, you may not realize how much happens behind the scenes for just one patient. I had an entire team--including Christine, Priscilla, Gabby, and Teresa--and every one of them played an important role. They worked together in complete unison and were professional, caring, and helpful throughout the entire process. I was prepared, positioned, numbed, and carefully guided through each step before Dr. Behr took over and performed the procedure. She was amazing. Although I am only three days into my recovery, I am already very happy with my results. I was also impressed by how fairly the practice treats its patients financially. My consultation fee was only $50, while many practices charge $100 to $150. That immediately told me they were not trying to take advantage of patients from the beginning. I had also seen that some practices charge an additional $100 to $150 for the required post-surgery compression garment. Dr. Behr's office provided mine at no additional charge. That may seem like a small detail, but it meant a great deal to me because it showed that they were not going to nickel-and-dime me throughout the process. The practice also offers several helpful ways to communicate and save money. I joined the Behr Club, which saved me a significant amount on my procedure. They also helped me sign up for Allē--the app with the halo--which allows patients to earn rewards and save money on certain treatments and products at participating providers. Be sure to ask about both programs. Because I live in Sacramento and cannot always drive to Fresno, the Allē program will be especially valuable to me. I had researched and visited practices in Sacramento but never felt completely comfortable with any of them. While working on assignment in Fresno, I contacted Dr. Behr's office, and I immediately knew I had found the right place. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Kathleen Behr and her wonderful staff to anyone considering a cosmetic procedure. They offer an extensive range of services, treat their patients with genuine care, and work together as an exceptional team. God bless all of you, and thank you for making this such a positive and meaningful experience. Make the call youll thank me : Behr Laser & Skin Care Center 1125 E Spruce Ave Ste 103 · (559) 435-7546

Follow up~ I have called the office several times now to…read morespeak with Dr. Behr regarding her response to my Google review. After speaking with different staff members, I was told that she does not take calls. I left messages requesting a call back, but still have not heard from her. I remain willing to discuss a resolution directly with her. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after my experience, I feel it is important to warn others before they spend thousands of dollars here. I paid a $250 deposit and an additional $3,575, for a total of $3,825, for filler and Botox treatments performed by Dr. Desai. From the very first follow-up appointment, I repeatedly told the medical assistant that I was unhappy with my results. At every appointment, I explained that I had developed small bumps underneath my eyes, that my marionette lines were not improving and continued to show bumps, and that I was disappointed with how everything was turning out. Dr. Desai also injected my nasolabial folds, yet those lines are still visible. Despite repeatedly expressing my concerns, I felt they were dismissed instead of being taken seriously. During my appointments, Dr. Desai told me that the Botox she had recommended interfered with the fillers. That statement left me questioning why that treatment plan had been recommended in the first place. If I was being told that one treatment interfered with another, why would I feel comfortable proceeding with additional procedures? At that point, my confidence in the treatment plan had been significantly diminished. I have allowed adequate time for the treatment to settle and for any improvement to occur. Given the number of injections I received and the significant financial investment I made, the outcome does not reflect the scope of the treatment. After allowing adequate time, I met with Dr. Behr to discuss my concerns. During that visit, she recommended performing additional treatment. However, I did not feel comfortable proceeding with more procedures because of the concerns I already had, including being told that the Botox recommended by Dr. Desai interfered with the fillers. I wanted my concerns addressed and understood before considering any additional treatments. During that same process, I asked Dr. Behr to review and compare my before-and-after photos because my results looked nothing like the photos I had been shown or expected. Dr. Behr refused to look at my photos or compare them. It was after this that the medical assistant made the statement that "everyone in the Central Valley knows that it doesn't last," which was extremely concerning to me given the amount of money I had invested. I also asked the office manager, Kristy, for a copy of the documentation showing my concerns from each of my visits. Kristy stated that she would send those records to me through email. To this day, I have never received the documentation she said she would provide. The documents that were provided to me did not include any statements or notes showing that I had expressed my concerns during my visits. I did everything I could to give the office an opportunity to address my concerns. Instead of feeling heard, I felt dismissed. After spending $3,825, I expected professional care, honest communication, and accountability when I expressed that I was unhappy with my results. Because of my experience, I cannot recommend this practice. I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before investing a significant amount of money. I am requesting a full refund of the $3,825 I paid. Given my experience, the concerns I raised throughout the process, and the outcome I received, I believe a full refund is warranted because of the results did not reflect the expectations and information that were discussed prior to treatment.

It got to the point where they would wake up in the middle of the night, scratching and crying. I went to their pediatricians and saw NPs and was just told to try over-the-counter cream and to return if it didn't work. I was tired of going back-and-forth and decided to just go to the specialist. I called Dr Boswell's office the ladies who helped me were very kind. They answered all my questions they made the process a breeze and I was able to secure an appointment 3 days after I called. They scheduled us with Dr. Saunders. So the morning of our appointment I got a little lost lol they have a really big building and I ended up going into their Esthetic side. The ladies there were kind enough to redirect me. Once we entered the correct building everyone was very attentive and welcoming. We got called back right away. Dr. Saunders was AMAZING!!! He was so good with the kids, he was very kind and interactive. Dr. Saunders is very knowledgeable. He took his time explaining and educating me and all the reasons for their skin issues. And gave me multiple recommendations. He also prescribed some creams. The creams worked instantly! In a week, my kids skins were cleared and everyone was so happy! The staff members were great! Everyone was so friendly. The office is very clean. It was a wonderful experience! I highly recommend Dr. Saunders and his team here at Dr Boswell's dermatology!

Someone might need the information that I'm about to share with you today:…read more Whether your insurance is a Health Maintenance Organization/HMO (like Kaiser) or a Preferred Provider Organization (YOU chose your own Dr.), you are ALWAYS entitled to a second opinion. If you have skin cancer of ANY type and need a second opinion, I highly recommend Dr. Leslie Storey. If you have been told a 'wide excision' is your ONLY option, you may CONSIDER getting a second opinion, let me explain: Very FEW dermatologists are specially trained in doing what is called a Mohs procedure. This is where skin is removed layer by layer until ALL the cancer cells are removed. This leaves healthy tissue to remain. A 'WIDE Excision Procedure' goes DEEP and WIDE, taking big hunks of viable tissue along with suspected cancer. Also, because it is not done under a microscope (like the Mohs procedure) it can leave cancer cells behind. . . This is especially important on your face and neck, as you don't want to take unnecessary tissue away, or a greater risk of the cancer returning. I knew of Dr. Storey's expertise, so when my husband recently developed a very rapid abscess (which by experience, I KNEW it quickly could develop into a systemic infection) AND sending photos of such to our HMO, we were told that he would not be able to be seen for at least FOUR weeks by the Dermatologist . . . Uh, O-Kaaaay. . . I sent the same photos to Dr. Storey, she immediately saw him, went in and BAMM ! She did a local surgery THEN & THERE! RESOLVED! (Trumpet's blaring) :D This is TWICE we had to go "out of pocket ", to get the care we needed. I CAN say it was worth EVERY penny! She is THE 'expert' in the San Joaquin Valley and cares MORE about her patients well being than ANYTHING else. . . If I had 10 thumbs, I would hold them all up for her! Guess who is going PPO this fall? ;)

His new office is beautiful, clean, and welcoming, and every staff member I've interacted with has been friendly, professional, and efficient. Check-in is quick, scheduling has always been easy, and the entire office runs smoothly. Dr. Dehesa has one of the best bedside manners of any physician I've seen. He is warm, compassionate, takes the time to listen, and never makes me feel rushed. He's also helped me manage a recurring skin condition and my long-term skincare needs. Because Dr. Dehesa is so popular, appointments with him can book well in advance, but I've also seen his physician assistant, Dave, who is excellent. He stitched my forehead after my basal cell removal at the previous practice and recently got me in quickly for a new area of concern. He has a fantastic bedside manner, listened carefully to my concerns without dismissing them, and clearly explained what he was seeing along with my options. As someone with a personal and family history of skin cancer, I've learned it's important to advocate for any spots that concern me, and Dr. Dehesa has always been receptive to those conversations. If you're at higher risk like I am, don't hesitate to speak up about anything that worries you. Overall, I highly recommend this practice. The care, kindness, and professionalism from Dr. Dehesa, Dave, and the entire staff there is unfortunately not something that I think is common with Doctor offices any longer. Because of this, I'm happy to recommend them to friends and family!

My wife mentioned a sun spot on my face had gotten bigger and suggested I get it checked out. Instead of going to just a dermatologist, I went right to the source and went to the Skin and Cancer institute of Fresno to checked out. I had a biopsy done and the spot tested positive for squamous cell carcinoma, a very common form of skin cancer with a high survival rate, but still scary. The office told me a lot of people have this and the survival is in the 95 - 99 percentile, which made me feel better. After a few weeks, I headed back to the spot removed and lucky for me the extra tissue/segment they removed tested negative for carcinoma! I did get three stitches in my face and potentially a cool scar, as my son says. The staff here for the most part was friendly, but a few could a refresh on their bedside manner and be reminded when people hear the word "cancer," it's scary AF! The appointment process was a breeze. They use APPatient, a scheduler app which made the process so easy from beginning to end. I paid, set up prescriptions pickup locations, and received appointments all from the app which was awesome. I have a full body scan set for September! Just a reminder to wear sunscreen and get all moles or weird skin discolorations checked out!

"Look at what happened to this person!". I get it. But let's take things with a grain of salt. No, Dr. Lindae is not going to help you with laser hair removal. Or botox. Or microdermabrasion. Or fillers. There are certain procedures that she, as a specialist, chooses not to perform. She's not guessing here. She has research and many years of experience to back her up. Just because you've gotten lucky and haven't had any side effects (yet) from a cosmetic procedure, that doesn't mean that you're an expert on the matter. It just means that you're looking for a doctor who will take your money and inject junk into your face that will come back to haunt you later on. To each their own. I'm looking for a doctor who will watch out for me and tell me the truth. If you're looking for a doctor who will be your "yes" man, Dr. Lindae is not it. Why? She will tell you the things that are hard to hear, because she wants you to be informed. When's the last time a doctor called you just to make sure you understood what was going on? You can tell she cares because she sees fewer patients in a day than other doctors, because she wants her clients to have enough one-on-one time to feel like they are being heard.
