Wrekin View Veterinary Practice

A great little vets on Church St, they only run surgery hours so its best to make an appointment…read morerather than turn up unannounced. I have used them with my cat a number of times and had him neutured and vaccinated as a kitten. When I first got him they de-flead him for me and gave me what was left of the spray in the bottle and took the time to show me how best to apply it. The level of customer service is great, they operate as an off-shoot of the Wellington branch so ops are performed there but you can drop your pet into the Shifnal branch and pick them back up from there too. Competitively priced for electronic chipping too.

Recently had to return to Manor Vets Edgbaston as it appears Ifrit has cystitis again and they're currently processing his urine samples today - a rush to make sure no underlying problems! By phone they are incredibly kind and patient, very understanding, and gave me numbers for the Cats Protection and Friends of the Animals for badly needed help with the cost of vets consultation and neutering fee for which I am incredibly grateful for. Some vets can be quite snobby and look down on lower-income people, but this recently refurbished state of the art veterinary practice is far from snobby. Treats were provided for the furry patients which helped Ifrit relax in the waiting room, and everyone there was definitely a pet person, creating a calming, warm, welcoming atmosphere. They've also given brilliant advice on foods that help his condition and it is little touches like that make me so grateful we chose Manor Vets.

We have our dog registered here and its always easy enough to take him in, the staff are very professional and the dog never seems to click hes going to the vets because he has to walk through the store first which seems to distract him enough that he doesnt notice until its too late, this is a bonus if your dog, like ours, is absolutely terrified of the vets!

Offered me no after care, as my dog ended up having a false pregnancy as a result of being spayed, and the people that worked there seemed totally gormless and out of touch too. Wouldn't bother again.

When Penny was diagnosed with a tumour on her spleen and she was in pain, I was given all the options. After two weeks pain relief, due consideration to Penny's age (approx 15), I decided to take the ultimate decision. Penny was treated so kindly, and I was, too! I brought her back to Manchester Dogs' Home for cremation. Everyone was so kind. I am buying a house at Fordhouses and the first thing I will do - make my rescue dog, Molly, known to Carmel Vets. I couldn't send her anywhere else! I know they will look after both of us and help us lead long, healthy lives together! Looking forward to meeting up with everyone! Hopefully in the next 4 weeks! I have been a customer here since they very first opened. They have always been very professional…read moreand taken care of our little fury friends. They took great care of our dog Jasper, who had a slipped disc in his lower back. Several MRI scans later, he had an operation (not done at Rosewoood) which had complications and poor Jasper's back leg's were paralysed. We didn't give up and with the support of Rosewood we took care of him, he wasn't very mobile but he seemed happy. Three weeks from his operation we noticed his tail was twitching. Straight away we took him to Rosewood, where we noticed his toes felt sensation also. Staff and I in tears, we had hope. Weeks past, his twitch turned to a wag, his legs started to move, so we turned to our vets to see if any physiotherapy could be done. We arranged physio to take place, and he also went for hydrotherapy (which he hated!). Months past, he started to walk again. He never fully recovered, he could never run, but he was still the loving and happy dog which we all knew. If it wasn't for the staff at Rosewood we would have given up. Thank you. :)

First P A Stewart a very professional veterinary surgeon with vast experience and Partner Mr Steven…read moreSmith I had lots of pets cats and dogs as I worked in rescue. They were excellent and professional however they retired just before covid and sold out to a large company called CVS. At first the vets I uses there were good Lisa was good but left soon after to work at the zoo. I saw one or 2 different ones but were not permanently working there. There were 2 working there permanently and I took my sick Persian cat to Stewarts vets on the Saturday with not eating and having breathing difficulties, The vet said it was toothache and gave her an injection and metacam. I asked why is she breathing so bad he said its the pain from the tooth and Bring her back on Monday. By Monday she was getting worse so I then felt that stewarts hadn't diagnosed correctly so I took her to The PDSA and they took her and put her in an oxygen tent, They did xrays and when they called me in and I saw the xrays her lungs were white with fluid and she was dying no sign of toothache and the metacam had been useless Her veins were flat with dehydration and they said she would have to be put to sleep..however i bought her body home and i wished i had never set eyes on that vet, I made a complaint and the practice manager blamed me for going for a second opinion The PDSA sent the xrays to stewarts but no comment Avoid these vets it may look posh but I know if Mr Stewart had still been there my cat would be alive today.

Although I appreciated the help and care the other vet gave my dog, I could'nt help feeling ripped off when they charged me nearly £100 extra for keeping my dog for the day because they had to delay some tests because of another emergency. When I questioned the extra on the bill the nurse refered me to a vet that I believe was one of the owners who basicly said when its an out of hours case we charge what we want regardless of whether the extra time spent in our care is down to us or not. I've had 6 dogs treated by Stewarts over the years and given the choice I'd use stewarts every time. This review is based on my own experience and judgment.
