I had a terrible experience with them as they never replied to any of my emails nor returned any calls during the tax season. Submitted all my tax documents by mid Feb and never heard from them until 3 days before 4/15. At one point, I was wondering if they would complete my tax before the deadline. Finally, my tax return was completed on 4/12 and I noticed a couple of errors that would have triggered an IRS audit had I not caught it. The whole reason of having someone to do my tax is because I don't have all the tax knowledge nor time. With multiple unit franchises, wealth advising business and tax preparation, I will never by their priority. Go find someone who has you as their priority during the tax season. read more

Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience working with Jess. This was my first time hiring TaxSquad and I specifically seeked their help to help with the claim back of taxes on paid back portion of a bonus. It has been over 4 months and I still haven't got my state refund. They say that it is pending with the gov, but there is no communication or replies to my emails in the last 4 weeks or so, and even before I have followed up at least 6 times only to hear the answer that there is nothing that can be done. For me, the reason I paid them the fees and didn't do it myself was for exactly these situations and now it seems it defeats the whole point of paying the premium fees. Feel so helpless, frustrated, and kept in dark about this whole situation. Wish there was more proactive communication and a clear plan of what the next steps are in all scenarios. Had a brief conversation on the phone with Larry and found him truly unprofessional. He stated that his rates after 10/31/20 would be increased from $200/hr to (he started laughing) something higher..., was this an attempt at a pressure tactic or what? I also inquired about a consultation fee and he asked me a few questions and stated he it would cost me $200 just to initially chat, then he would set approximate the number of hours after that payment. I reached out to 2 other accountants with the same initial information I provided to Larry (my taxes are simple with 1 uncommon, however not difficult line item) and both stated it would be a flat fee and/or not more than $150 to complete. There are so many other accountants out there--I'm definitely going to another one that believes in fair practices. If you also note, the majority of his positive reviews are over 6yrs old AND the reviews are "suspect" in a way --if you look at the number of reviews those reviewers have written are under 10 reviews vs reviewers who have written over 100+ reviews and are actually legitimate.... read more

They fixed a couple years of taxes that were screwed up by H&R Block. They are always available for any tax related questions through the year too.
