OK, so the restaurant has not been cleaned or renovated since it opened decades ago but that doesn't matter (just don't look up at the fake greenery strung from the ceiling) because the food is good and you'll leave really, really full.
The restaurant is very small and was filled with locals when we dined (9pm-ish on a Friday night). My husband ordered the gyros and the plate included meat, fried potatoes, rice, hummus, and something else which escapes my mind. The plate DID NOT include pita which we found slightly strange. The hummus is some of the best I have had and the salt on the potatoes was delicious. I know, salt. Delicious. But it was and it's a bit pathetic that the salt is part of my memory of this restaurant.
Service was good - run by the owner. Menus are available in English and the owner spoke English, so no communication problems here! A nice, quaint restaurant where you can enjoy a quiet night out and stay as long as you want without feeling rushed. read more
