Attended my nephews music concert a few weeks ago on a Friday evening…read more The school administrators never informed the parents & concert-goers ahead of time, that a mandatory entrance fee was being imposed, such as $5 for adults & $2 for children. As far as I knew it was normally a donation based fee. To do such underhanded act is disgusting of a school administration. To top it off, they also charged for beverages, candy & popcorn; why? You already charged a mandatory fee to all visitors, therefore why do such a sneaky underhanded act? It is in the school administrations best interest to inform all parents ahead of time, when any future concerts are held of any fees imposed. I overheard many people complain because some did not have cash handy. If you want parents & families to pay, have a credit/debit card machine to also facilitate those who do not carry cash. I've never seen such tackiness of any school administration & I've visited several in different states.

My son started here at Palmetto Elementary School last August, for the 2015-2016 school year. He is…read morecurrently in kindergarten, in Ms. Williams class. She is a fantastic teacher, very involved and sweet and my son loves her. I've heard marvelous things of other teachers at the school. My son is excelling remarkably and I couldn't be happier. I rate the teachers and the care and service they provide a 10. The only thing I do not like is the actual location of the school. We drop off and pick up my son in person on a daily basis, because I wouldn't have it any other way. I need to make sure my son is safely INSIDE the school before I Ieave. Be warned that you will receive, almost on a monthly basis, texts alerting you that the school is in lock down because of something near by, such as a shooting. I am not overly worried when my son is in school, but it's normal to be, as the location can't be helped. We are very involved in everything having to do with our sons education, and ultimately that's what makes a school, the effort the child puts into it and how involved the parents are. We definitely love his teachers.

Bees in my hair, my eyes, my body was traumatized by the sheer force of will they all carried in their small bodies. The lunch room is gourmet and the students get free lunch (what a scam for a former public school student such as myself!) The campus is shaped like a college campus and if I had not been with my two girls I would not have been able to find the north or south. However I did get a free pen.
