If you want to get a high quality tattoo from polite and enthused artists- avoid Tattooland at all costs. I made the grave mistake of getting a tattoo from Clive Charles whose appalling attitude made the entire experience one to regret. Similarly, the quality of the tattoo was appalling. Using patchy poor quality ink, Clive scrawled across my wrist with little to no conversation. Instead, making sexually explicit comments regarding young girls that had entered the shop was his primary concern.
The shop itself is very untidy and though the needle was fresh, the gun was dusted and that was concerning to me. Despite the management being present, the shop itself was poorly organised with some people waiting hours and hours for a small tattoo they were assured would not take them long to receive. There are few areas to seat and browse existing tattoos.
It's been a few months since I had visited Tattooland and I can assure you it won't be happening again. Professionalism is lacking, the shop itself is lacking and the staff? Unbearably rude and inappropriate. Not to mention the fact that since visiting a different studio to have the poor work rectified I was informed by a professional, friendly and appropriate tattooist that I now have permanent scarring underneath my wrist because of the poor work.
I wanted to complain to the manager but felt because of how rude and ignorant Clive was that this was not an option.
So instead, I'm posting this review for those that are unsure of where best to go. I've learned to make the journey for the real deal, so to speak. And Tattooland in Woking, Surrey NEEDS to be avoided at all costs. At least until they are able to demonstrate some level of intellect, professionalism and quality of their 'art'. read more
