I've passed this place frequently & wish I would have went in sooner! I've had a hankering for a good gyros for a while now, so today was the day to get one. Interior was spacious - something I didn't expect, & really clean. I placed my order & not 5 minutes later it was done. I appreciated that they left the sauces on the side & even asked if that was okay. A short drive home, my food was still hot & fresh... & amazingly delicious! Yes, I know, a gyros isn't anything complicated but you'd be surprised how bad some of them can be. I got a gyros sandwich & a small fries with a cheese cup - all really tasty & priced well. No way! Omg the food was absolutely awful. I ordered a hamburger and fries two hot dogs and a tamale. Super cheap. Only $13. I see why. The food is disgusting. Everything and I mean everything has an after taste. The hot dog was terrible. Didn't look bad but man it left a funny after taste. The burger patty was dry as dry could be. I don't like the fact that the owner will increase the price from what's in the register. Ex:: an extra hamburger patty is in the system as 1.25. He added an extra .75. The price of the patty was not the problem. It was the principal. I asked about the increase. He stated, everything is more expensive. I felt I was being cheated. So traveling out to Joliet, Illinois from Boston is a culture shock for me (in-laws) but this restaurant just restored my faith in the vegan community. I as the only vegan to my husbands family of midwestern meat eaters is always in trouble when I visit. So this time they let me find a restaurant to order takeout from when we arrived at the hotel. This restaurant has everything anyone could ask for. Not a single complaint with 16people ordering ranging from babies to 60s in age. Population eating was natives of Illinois, Kentucky, Washington, and Massachusetts. The food was fast delicious and everything came perfect. That's not easy with 16 people via Grubhub. I am also a bit of a food snob with vegan food so I figured I'd order my vegan burger double thinking the patty would be some crappy frozen veggie burger and I'd be hungry but instead I got delicious beyond burgers that were fat and juicy and amazing. We ordered salads, fries, chicken nacho fries (enormous portion), several chicken bacon avocado paninis (huge sandwiches with awesome bread), fried chicken, hot dogs, guacamole, etc. It was all great and the delivery person was super awesome making sure we checked everything and got it all unpacked. Don't expect the food to taste excellent as I really didn't taste much to begin with. The poorboy $4.99 was just a long cube steak with cheese and onions. Where's the garlic butter? The beef $4.50 was pretty bad. Sure they piled on the meat rather much, but what's the point of that when its mostly dry with a little spice to it? The best of the 3 (not by much) was the patty melt, which happened to be the cheapest item at $3.69. Despite not being pleased my food, I give them a positive 3 stars as the service was good, clean inside, cheap prices, and a vast selection as I probably didn't order the right items. read more

A nice little family diner serving tasty sandwiches...hence the name Tastee Bites. I love the Chicken Caesar on Pita...all the benefits of a salad just on top of a pita. Grab it like a taco and bite, you will right away notice the caesar dressing and grilled chicken working together in every bite...heaven I say! Burgers are great too if you are looking for something meaty. Almost forgot to mention they serve tacos....prepared fresh everyday, thats right I asked. We order from here every weekend at work. All of our meals are always fresh and yummy. Grilled chicken is seasoned well, paninis are awesome only complaint is they use their roast beef for the tacos and I don't like the flavor. Definitely recommend! read more

I love places that spell their name wrong........tastee!! This should inform you who they are targeting for their customers, all of us Homer Simpsons...mmm tastee...I met my brother here for lunch. I had suggested tacos and he said they had really good tacos, and really good gyros, I was skeptical. It is a rare find indeed where they can do both justice. I had the steak tacos, and I am not sure if it is because Joliet has a major Hispanic population, but they put cilantro (and onions) on my tacos without me having to ask - sweet. I was recommended to eat here by a co-worker of mine, taking their recommendation I came to tastee bites and I left with an upset stomach from their gyro, and I received a headache from the loud arabic language being spoken. it's only been a few times that I have ordered from this place and each time my food has taken at least 15 minutes to come out and I don't even place big orders. the food is old, nacho chips are stale. guacamole was brown.
