There's a small car park, a seperate area for seating, a large grass area with trees (sycamores, believe it or not), a play area with soft bark and also a bouncy castle. When we last went in the summer, we sat on the grass and the kids went off to play and it felt very safe. The pub inside isn't massive and on a weekend night it can get pretty packed. For me it's definately the best pub in Burbage.

The pool tables are in excellent condition and after we finished with ours, the guy behind the bar came out and cleaned it, I don't think I've ever seen that happen anywhere else! There are some other activities that we did't get time to try like Snooker and Darts and there are also some quiz machines and even Jenga if that appeals to you. We found the prices to be reasonable and managed to get a pool table for the entire evening for around £16. You may be wondering "did the band not play well?" and to that my answer is no. They didn't play at all. Their slot was pushed so far back i was sat in my seat for 4 hours waiting for them to get up there and rock nuneaton into space. Unfortunately, they never got to play at the Crew in Nuneaton as the "man" running the live music didn't let eternal storm play. Lucky someone stepped up however i shan't be touching on that subject for personal and legal reasons In conclusion, i never got to see eternal storm strike and instead was forced to drive 40 minutes home after waiting for 4 long hours just for my favourite band. Very VERY disappointed.

Perhaps out of the way for a few people but it means you get a lot of the locals in there (like myself!) which leads to a very pleasant and jovial ambience to the play. The low wooden beams and moody lighting might be the staple of this chain of pubs but don't let that put you off, this really is in the spirit of traditional old country pubs. The food is pretty good and there's a good selection of lagers bitters and ales on tap for the discerning drinker. The staff and the new management are much improved and very friendly with the punters and won't shy from a bit of joking and banter. The car park is always full, especially on Sundays when people go in for the Sunday roast which if anything is a sign of a successful establishment.
