Let me start by saying this: Beep Beep Jeep is far and above the VERY BEST vehicle rental company…read moreyou're likely to ever find. No joke. Renting a vehicle usually comes with varying degrees of hassle--whether it's being told there are no available cars when you arrive or being hit with unexpected fees later. In fact, things got so bad that I'm now on Enterprise Rent-A-Car's do-not-rent list. That's a whole other story, but it's also why I found Beep Beep Jeep while planning my 25th wedding anniversary trip with my wife. Sure, I was a bit skeptical when Beep Beep Jeep asked for the full cost of my rental up front months ago when I made my reservation, but honestly, I had little choice but to trust them. Enterprise owns most of the other car rental companies too, and they all share the same list. Beep Beep Jeep was pretty much my last resort--and I'm SO GLAD they were! When Lesty texted to say he was on his way to deliver the Jeep to us at the airport, I couldn't believe my eyes when he showed up. The back seat was filled with gold balloons and a personalized sign congratulating us on our 25th anniversary! But even better, there was an ice chest with Medalla Light and a bottle of champagne in the back! It. Blew. My. MIND! And to top it off, this wasn't just any Jeep Wrangler--it was a fully decked-out Willys edition with huge tires and all the bells and whistles! It was perfect. Lesty handed me the key and... that was it. Nothing to sign, nothing more to do. We just jumped in and drove off. I can't emphasize enough how glad I am that I had that Willys to drive around Puerto Rico. If you've never been to Puerto Rico before, you're in for a bit of culture shock with how people drive here--no one drives (or parks) like they're supposed to, and it's going to freak you out. Trust me. To make things more challenging, most of the roads are quite narrow with little to no shoulder. If you're planning to drive to the middle of the island, like to the Orocovis area, you need nothing less than one of these Jeeps. Trust me on this! The roads are full of blind hairpin turns on the windiest roads you've ever encountered. YOU NEED THIS JEEP! Your life may depend on it. You do not want to be driving these roads with these crazy Puerto Rician drivers in anything less. I cannot say enough about Beep Beep Jeep's service--just perfect. Lesty texted me a few hours before I was scheduled to have him pick up the Jeep and he told me to keep it for the rest of the night. Said he'd pick it up if I just left it in a parking garage in Old San Juan. And that's what I did--with only a half tank of gas (even though it was supposed to be full). I wanted to see if Beep Beep Jeep would hit me with a crazy expensive "fill-up fee," but no--they only charged my card $44.60, which is roughly what it would have cost me to top it off myself. To say I am pleasantly amazed with Beep Beep Jeep is an understatement.

The company purchases a spot in the parking garage and puts you on an Easter egg hunt to find it. Sometimes I can't even find my own car in airports let alone hunting for a rental following a treasure map with an X marks the spot. We presumed this was in the rental car area along with the other companies. Nope! They never heard of Beep Beep. Dealing with these guys was like dealing with a couple of hustlers on a street corner. I let them know we'd just see them next time now that we knew the process. They say can't return the money and would give us a credit. I am shocked there are not more negative reviews. The whole thing felt very scammy.

Pickup was super easy and quick. You don't get the exact car you booked, but instead choose from the available options in the car class you reserved. In our case, we were able to choose from one of four available mid-sized sedans and the Hyundai Elantra we chose was clean and reliable. Drop off was equally easy, although following GPS directions to the car rental return was a little tricky but that has nothing to do with Alamo per se. So if you are riding the fence like we were, we would recommend them for your car rental needs.

Atentamente, RLM
