Dr Tara it's very sweet, I had a very successful cleaning. She gave me feedback about my teeth and gum care as well. The office was lovely.

I was with Ms. Tara about 2 1/2 months, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've never experienced such rudeness and such disrespect not only towards me, but with her staff, always complaining that everybody is incompetent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To make matters worse, her dentistry is literally horrific, and with a recent cap, which is completely flat on the bottom and grinding my bottom teeth, putting stress on upper and lower. Even with normal mouth movement, it grinds and hits my bottom teeth. When she first popped it in, I let her know, it was very uncomfortable and grinding, and felt flat on the bottom. She pulled it out, adjusting it which basically put in uncomfortable grooves and still extremely flat on the bottom. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All she had to do was send it back to the lab and have them make a cap that fit proper. Instead, her exact words to me were "If you're going to complain, then you can go somewhere else, these people work very hard."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I texted her later and pleaded with her to please help me her patient, instead of being concerned with the people who are making incredible money, to make these caps.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prior to the Order, I asked her to please match it with the bottom caps so that I have a uniform look, she agreed. To make matters worse, there was an old mercury filling in that tooth, it had never bothered me, I knew it was time to get rid of an old filling and wanted to change to a white filling, and leave the tooth alone. She claimed that the tooth was cracked in the back and needed a cap. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tooth did not feel like it had a cracked the back, and I did question her and once again she insulted me, laughing that I should be the dentist instead of her.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is how she behaves on a normal basis. To make matters worse, when she drilling the mercury filling, mercury was flying down my throat and she left a big stump of it in my tooth. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was concerned with the mercury and she told me not to worry about it, I would poop it out, not exaggerating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I told her I was excited that she was getting rid of the mercury and she replied she was leaving part of the Mercury as a stump so the cap had something to brace on. I was walking on eggshells, did not want any old mercury in my mouth and asked her if she could kindly remove it because there might be decay underneath, and it would be nice to rid of the 20 year old mercury anyway. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She laughed at me and told me that mercury was the best thing they ever invented for teeth. I am not joking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I literally started to tremble out of fear, and inside of my head I literally cried, hoping that a miracle would happen and that it would fall out, without exaggerating I literally said oh dear God, let this thing fall out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 10 seconds later the rest of the mercury fell out and I almost choked on it. I spit it in my hand and she commented that the tooth released the mercury, and that there was slight decay, which she scraped out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is all 100% true, the woman needs to retire, her old world methods are horrifying, and her rudeness is truly disgusting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called her because texting became ridiculous, I recognized her voice and she pretended to be her assistant Daisy who I am assuming was not there, nobody there when she did my tooth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I begged her to please help me get a cap that fit properly, she tried to manipulate the conversation, rude once again.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All she had to do was send it back to the lab, which is her right as a dentist, to help her patient. I realized it was time to call my insurance. My tooth is constantly irritated, hitting my bottom teeth with just normal mouth movement. Chewing has become problematic, and my tooth is actually pulsating. This is a tooth. I've never had any problems with, it literally feels like a flat brick in my mouth. I filed a report with Liberty. I was also told by Liberty that she is not allowed to charge me more than $250 for a better cap, and she has charged me double on the two caps that she made. The first cap concerned me because it was very smooth on the bottom without normal teeth elements, meaning texture like teeth have. She told me, don't worry the molar will have all the normal textures and it will match your bottom caps. None of that happened. I'm finding that HMO dentistry is horrific and it's not because of the insurance, i's these Dentist who do not care, making money off insurance, and overcharging us on top it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In fact, Liberty insurance was extremely helpful, concerned, and gave me incredible information because I was overcharged.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dr. Tara claims she's going to reimburse me so now I'm getting everything for free, yes, she actually said that. That was before I knew she had overcharged me. Liberty was wonderful. I need to replaced this cap, it is that bad. Liberty will not pay her because it needs to be replaced & called my credit card, so far there is no credit for the cap like she claimed. We will definitely end up in small claims court, not only for this cap, but for the overcharge on the other cap. read more

I truly wish I could say I had a good experience, but Dr. Nakjiri was extremely unprofessional. Every session was filled with countless condescending and disrespectful remarks in conversation. I've honestly never dealt with a dentist who was so arrogant and rude. Finding a dentist the past couple years had been difficult since the one I had in 2019 closed and the pandemic made it even more challenging to find a new one. Earlier last year I was laid off of my job and let her know that I was covered through Liberty Dental (which SHE ACCEPTS). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Every single session she would keep telling me that my dental insurance was awful. I repeatedly mentioned that there was nothing I could do for the meantime. During all three sessions she would incessantly bring up that I needed to "find a job and get better insurance".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wow!...such eye-opening advice! You would think that someone who works in healthcare would have more consideration for her patients' circumstances. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She was blindly unaware that people had been getting laid off left and right last year. At one point during one of our sessions she tried invalidating me when I mentioned the difficulties of the current job market.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then she proceeded to completely contradict herself by mentioning how her son works for a large marketing company and apparently, he had to lay off a lot of people on his team too. Her logic was so wrong and out of touch, it was honestly comical. During our final session, after I had received root canal treatment from a separate endodontist, she started digging her tool into my tooth and I started to feel a type of sharp sensitivity. She saw that I felt a sensitivity and defensively barked 'IT SHOULDN'T HURT, THERE IS NO NERVE!". Why on Earth would I be lying about my tooth hurting??? I was shocked that this is how she communicates to her patients. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Her assistant noticed her hostile tone and quickly chimed in to kindly let me know that when you get your crowns put in for the first time you might feel some pressure and sensitivity, but it should go away in a couple of days as your tooth adjusts to it. I appreciated the assistant saying that to me RESPECTFULLY.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I do not know what this woman's vendetta was against me, but I'm just going to assume that she doesn't understand boundaries or professionalism. worst dental experience by far i guess she needed money so she slammed me with dental work like $17k work and I said after the holidays,Went in for broken tooth December 16, 2025 and only this and a temporary till after the holidays and she said sure come in next day December 17, 2025 and get your temporary tooth and as soon asi sat in the ca hair for a 12:30 appointment so sat in the chair at 12:35 and sedated my whole upper and started full 6 teeth procedure with no consent . [[HIGHLIGHT]]I say what are you doing and she say quite no talk I have work to do . I was so upset and could not believe what she doing to me and so mean .[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] did not finish till 5:17 , five hours in the chair and was no consent to do work nothing signed till Claudia layer 3-pages on my lap and passed me a pen and said the doctor wants you to sign and I said no not till after the holidays and the doctor screamed at me and I called my wife and so on so I signed because of fear and she started the full procedure and did a totally messed up work . my current dent and oral surgeon said I don't want to repeat but he said what a F--- up job when he was extracting the #8 tooth see crack and left inside for the oral surgeon to remove and tooth damage now another implate and the graft tooth #9 was done so poorly with voids and empty space so do a new craft and my dentist said both those teeth would fail in a short period of time. this is just a small" part read more

I should have read the reviews before selecting this dentist. Last year, I unwisely chose a cheaper dental plan with my employer because I don't have any issues and just need basic cleanings. This turned out to be an HMO. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The doctor let me know within five minutes of meeting how horrible my plan was and mentioned it throughout the visit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Why does she accept the horrible plan you ask? So that she can exploit it and scam the patient which is what I experienced. I knew she was being less than honest when she told me I needed a deep cleaning and that it would cost me $250+. I'm sure a deep cleaning costs more than that which means she was going to give me a regular cleaning and call it a deep cleaning. I just played along because searching for a dentist within an HMO is almost as painful as visiting one. Despite my request, I did not receive a full set of dental x-rays as is included in my "horrible" plan. I think because she does not have a full staff, answers the phone and probably does her own billing, she didn't want to be bothered with the small amount of money the HMO would reimburse her for X-rays. I believe the teeth cleaning was adequate but it was like all the other basic cleanings I've had my entire life. It was not a deep cleaning. When I called 6 months later to schedule a regular cleaning which is included in my plan she told me that entailed basically "brushing my teeth" and that tartar removal would cost $170. She will do everything in her power to save a tooth, or create a lasting smile that will change your life! If you find the insurance company's reimbursement for HMO patients unacceptable, do not participate as an in-network provider in the HMO plan. I never leave reviews. Unprofessional and unclear communication from Dr. Nakjiri. Stated on the phone that my HMO insurance was in-network. When I arrived I was only given a rushed (maybe 10 minute) cleaning. Dr Nakjiri said that my insurance does not properly reimburse for the deep cleaning-- so even though she accepts the insurance in-network, she would not perform the service that she said I needed, unless I paid $220 (my insurance lists a $0 copay for deep cleaning). In addition, Dr Nakjiri did not wear a mask in her office. Regardless of vaccination/Covid status, this strikes me as common curtesy for a medical professional in these times (especially one working in people's mouths). The receptionist and assistant were both very friendly and helpful. read more

She was so reassuring and made sure the cleaning was painless and comfortable for me. Most people say they dread going to the dentist. Not me. I've been going to Dr. Nakjiri for over 12 years. Even though I moved to Burbank and it can take an hour to get to her, I still make the trip every few months. Dr. Nakjiri and her assistant, Liz, are always friendly and personable. We have fun conversations. Of course, they do great work too! The office is located in the heart of Beverly Hills, is bright, clean and never crowded (I recommend parking in Rite Aid Parking Structure one block east of Roxbury - 2 hours free - if not there, there are plenty of other parking structures up the street along Little Santa Monica). Dr. Nakjiri has often gone above and beyond to help me both with preventative work as well as payments when I was self-employed without insurance. I always look forward to my appointments and cleanings with them. I can't recommend them enough : ) read more
