The Good: * Everyone on the staff was pleasant. We were…read moreseated and brought drinks promptly * Chips and salsa (spicy) and beans were all tasty * A little "dulce" (whipped cream + Carmel drizzle) tortilla chip as a free dessert bite The "Needs Improvement" : * Ground beef on everything (tacos, enchiladas) is blah * Enchilada sauce is pretty blah, too * Shredded beef (burrito) not seasoned well, either * Server needs to check back once after dropping off the meals * Unclean silverware (one knife) Bottom Line: Kinda worth a try. Not gonna make our list of "Best Mexican" but if you order extra salsa and pour it on everything that's meant to have some spice, it's okay. I understand this is a family operation so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I can't wait to return!! The staff was incredibly patient as I scoured all the choices with a magnifying glass. I chose three tacos and due to a restricted diet, a salad. The salad was huge, the carnitas and carne asado tacos were outstanding, the pickled carrots, jalapenos, onions and peppers were so fresh and homemade!! The salsa verde I couldn't stop asking for more!! The staff, management and servers were so on it and truly kind to us and all their, obvious, returning diners!! Nothing was remotely empty as they consistently checked back with us, and everyone else, and boy did we devour everything!! I can't wait to return to this restaurant again. 7 stars!! Thank you Dave for recommending this gem!!! Prices were incredibly reasonable as well. Authenticity and kindness at it's best!! They certainly could expand as the business was consistent and the service fast but not rushed!!! Maybe a franchise in Los Angeles!!!

We were greeted right away when we walked in and really enjoyed the authentic decorations and overall vibe. The service was friendly and welcoming. Not long after sitting down, we were brought chips with some really tasty salsa and bean dip, which was a great start to the meal. I ordered the smothered tamales, and I had never had anything quite like that before. The food came out hot and tasted fresh. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this place!

The service was fabulous! We were even there with our two very young grandchildren and they were so fast getting us our food, we didn't need to entertain them while waiting. Good: Pleasant, adequate service…read more Nachos are a good choice -- good allocations of ingredients and the portion size is huge serving -- a half order is 2 meals or easily shared by two people. I like the green enchilada sauce better than the red. Others in our party like the red. Needs Improvement: One of the rare times I haven't liked the salsa at a Mexican restaurants. Primary flavor was sour, and I'm puzzled how they managed that. Chips weren't very good. Chile relleno wasn't something we'd order again. Bottom line -- it's kinda hit and miss on the offerings here. Some things they do well consistently (like cheese crisps and nachos) while other things are off enough you are discouraged from coming back. Oh, and watch your step walking into and through this restaurant. Odd steps, slopes that can trip if you're not paying attention.

My daughter ordered street tacos, and my son ordered the Chili Colorado steak burrito. The ground beef taco was good with just the right amount of seasoning, the cheese enchiladas had a great sauce and was served with Spanish rice. My son's burrito had good flavor and the meat was extremely tender served with a really good enchilada sauce. My daughter's street taco was just ok. To me, there was nothing special about his they cooked the meat and could've used more seasoning. Now for my fish tacos. First off, I made the mistake of ordering mango salad and pico degallo on the fish tacos. Their secret sauce tasted like ranch dressing. Nothing secret about that. The fish was not the least bit crunchy or flaky. It was mushy. The flavors did not mesh at all. And where is my lime? Don't order this one. Overall, I thought the sides were good, the rice, and the beans. My only criticism with these sides, they needed more salt to make the flavors pop. I'm down to trying this place again. Just not going to order fish tacos again.
