Muy Sabroso!!! We stumbled across this gem while out thrifting. We could smell the restaurant all the way down the street. The ambiance was colorful and the food was spectacular as well as being very affordable. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Wow, the flavors were amazing. I was in Long Prairie this past week and this town lacks restaurants or anything open past 6PM for that matter so I was so happy to hear good recommendations of this Taqueria. We went in and it was super cute inside with your typical menu on the wall behind the counter but they do wait on you if you eat in. Someone came over to us immediately, greeted us, and took our drink order. We both had horchata and it was delicious. Not made with a powder but rather, homemade, and it was perfect. My Childhood friend, who had never heard of horchata before, loved it as well. We both ordered the same items. We each had cheese enchiladas, a tamale, and an asada taco. The enchiladas were excellent! The tamale was not to my liking because the masa was too thick. There was nothing wrong with it per se but I only like tamales if the masa is thinner. The asada taco for $1.75 was amazing!!! Tiny tiny bits of asada grilled to perfection, cilantro, onions, and lime. I wanted to order more of them! I took one bite, looked at my friend, and told her OMG this is so good and the tortillas were soft and fresh..Pure Perfection! While we were dining, several people came in for takeout orders and ordered the burritos which were only $5 and looked Chipotle sized huge! The only reason I am not giving a five stars is because the salsa was super runny..I am not sure if we got a bad part of the batch or what but it was water runny but tasty. I noticed at other tables, it didn't appear as thin so I will update as needed next time. Service was fine. He was definitely nice enough and answered any questions we had about the menu. Skip the McDonalds or Burger King on Hwy 71 and come on down Central Avenue to try this place and the tacos!! read more

Absolute worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant, anywhere, at anytime. I am not exaggerating. This was the worst hands down and second to none. It was so bad it was surreal. First off the whole town is boarded up with the exception of two Mexican restaurants. We apparently were not the preferred race to be entering this establishment. Instantly rude as hell. Never seen anything like it before or since. He showed us to our table in their empty restaurant and threw the menus on to the table so hard they slid several feet. Between that and the look of "get the hell out of here gringo" was enough of a hint for us. We did have a beer while wondering what the hell just happened. We were tempted to leave without paying due to the fact we thought our lives were in danger. We did do the right thing and left $10 on the table and got out of town. I hope that wasn't enough for the tab and he had to eat some of it. I still have nightmares about this experience to this day. This place is horrific beyond words.. The date we were there was actually back in August 2018. I just want to point that out because since then it has become the stuff of workplace water cooler legend. My coworkers, especially new ones, love to hear the story of the rudest service ever in a restaurant open to the public. read more

The restaurant was clean and it was apparent that they were taking precautions for Covid-19. The staff wore masks, were helpful and answered any questions. The menu had a large selection. I had a delicious Al Pastor Huarache with agua Tamarindo and my husband had a chicken enchilada and horchata. The food was piping hot and service was quick. The flavors were all we hoped for. Since there was no one else dining in, we decided to eat inside the restaurant. Every other booth was conveniently closed to allow for safe social distancing. We will definitely recommend this place and will be back. read more

The spanish rice was some of the best I have ever had. My husband had the Flour enchilada with chicken. He sid it was so good he wants to come back for dinner. Hands down, the best Mexican place in Central Minnesota. When I first went there, it was a little shabby, but they have taken over the room next door and redecorated. Great food and great pricing. Where else around here are you going to get a Ceviche Tostada? And their Gorditas, sliced corn bread stuffed with whatever you like, are fresh and wonderful. Nothing fancy here, but if you like real Mexican food, instead of the watered-down versions offered at so many places, this is the place to come. First, their water wasn't working, so they had only bottled water available, which we said was ok, but shouldn't have. Food took over 30 minutes to arrive and when it came, it had no flavor. It was very bizarre. Even the veggies were flavorless. All 4 of us agreed and we ordered different dishes. We finally got our bill and they charged us $2 a piece for the water bottles. So our 4 bottles of water bought them 2 cases of water!! Very inappropriate to charge for bottled water when you don't have tap water available. We love supporting local businesses, but unfortunately we won't be back :( read more
