Taperjes Barber Shop - Award - Barbers Near Me - El Monte, California

Always a great cut for all my dates haha definitely recommend it. A great vibe and a great price

Been coming here for 20+ years, since I was like 5 years old. Started going to him when he was at another shop and followed him when he opened his own place -- never looked back. This guy has never failed me once. Every cut is quick, on point, and the price is still unbelievably reasonable after all these years. Every friend I've sent his way has had nothing but good things to say, and that says a lot. Seriously one of those places you just keep coming back to without even thinking about it. Will definitely be a customer for life. read more

Came here for a haircut, definitely recommend. Takes his time and does a great job ! Will be coming back

Just moved to El Monte and found this barber on Yelp. I went in yesterday and was very impressed by the quality of my haircut. He gave me a perfect fade and cut my hair, using clippers and scissors, with painstaking precision. No hair was out of place. And it was pretty fast too. Lastly, the haircut was surprisingly inexpensive, given how skillful and experienced Jes is with his craft. Highly recommend this place! read more

What to expect when coming to Taperjes: - An amazing haircut - Friendly and helpful staff - Affordable neighborhood prices I started coming to this shop after I was fed up with my old barbershop who would open whenever they wanted and would take close to an hour per haircut not to mention the cuts were average at best. I stopped by one day and was greeted by the owner, Jes. He's a very friendly guy who treats his customers like family. He always opens on time and even stays late if you're in a pinch. He also makes appointments and respects the time you make it for. Overall if you're close by and want a great haircut by a friendly staff at a great price swing by. You won't regret it. P.s. Even when I moved to Pomona I still made the drive to come get my cut by Jes! The service and attentiveness just can't be matched. read more

Walked in around noon.... Barbershop was empty, no one waiting. Asked if they were taking walk-ins and the only guy cutting hair said he was booked for the day. Other barbers just kept doing their thing. One on his phone and one looking at the mirror. They must not like to make money!! read more

Worst decision ive ever made... if i could pick 1/2 star i would... first time walk in.. asked for a skin fade 1 on top with a line up... the lady said and i quote "I'm the best".. complete disaster she cut and drew blood from me using only her clippers.. shaved me with a razor and not a barber blade and to top it off she went way to high on my line up and left it crooked.. the owner had to step in and help but i was still dissatisfied.. coming from a review stand point.. this place has 5 stars and to walk out with cuts shows the inexperience.. i will not be coming back.. read more

I never post reviews but this place deserves it. Years years past due. I've been cutting my hair with Jez since I was 3 years old. My dad met Jez when he was just starting as a barber and we've been coming to him ever since. My cousin, uncles and friends all come to him. Feels like you're getting a haircut from family but at the same time keeps it super professional. Jez always accommodates to my super busy schedule. Appointments are always an option but will gladly take you as a walk-in. There might be a waiting line but its definitely worth the wait! read more

Very fast haircut, fresh cut everytime, if you want to get a haircut w/ Jes just book an appoitment ahead and no problem. :)

This is a really clean establishment and really good and friendly customer service. Fast service and leaves you looking fresh, I will definitely continue to come here. read more

First and foremost , walk in are welcomed. However please understand that majority of the people that go with him already know they need to schedule an appointment. REASON for that is because he does get really busy. My fiancé has been going with him ever since he moved here and has never had a problem and does not have anything bad to say. For future reference understand where the business owner is coming from. The pandemic has changed the way how many small businesses decide to run their business. With that said to be safe call and ask just to make sure (: read more
