I am giving this five stars based on my experience and just a little bit of faith.
The owner, Jennifer, is *delightful* to talk to and really seems to care about the customer. I learned in our conversation that she is part Hispanic and part Native American. The shop is located in a beautiful space in the Plaza, and the family-owned business piece of it is very appealing to me.
I mentioned "faith" because I am not able to promise that every piece in the store is Native-made. Personally, I want to patronize Natives only when it comes to Tribal jewelry and art. The piece I bought is definitely "Native" made, however, upon searching online, the artist's story is that she's a successful businesswoman who's done many things, among them jewelry. No matter to me, she is Navajo by heritage and culture, and she did make my piece!
I would definitely recommend trying this store first or if you only have time for a few shops. At least half the shops in the Plaza seem very touristy. This one is classy and, I believe, authentic. read more
