(Jan-Jul, Aug-Dec) So if you are in Dusseldorf for an extended period of time I recommend this dance school, however for someone like me who was looking for drop-in classes (like Pineapple Studios in London) it was not ideal. My first taster class went down fine, however when I returned the following week to try another proficiency level, they were very reluctant and told me that they don't let new people join so far into a new course (even though they weren't working on an extended choreo / building up to a performance).

I tried two hip hop (uber20) classes and found it to be very very simplistic, attracting a 30-50 crowd who seemed to be doing it for novelty value. The alternative was to take classes with pre-teens. Although one instructor was alright the other was quite hostile and unhelpful to me when I tried to ask her where else she taught (in the hopes that she taught a higher level class elsewhere). Just try to have a thick skin at times!

A cozy 80 seat music room has a great sound system and a bar which serves beer and wine. Upstairs is a 200 seat black box theatre with stage lighting and adjustable seating. The building itself is an old school, but a remodel in recent years has updated lighting, restrooms, and temperature control.
