They truly are knowledgeable and the owners are fantastic and know the industry and the benefits inside and out. Not a fan of the business ethics of the new owners. Under…read morethe old management, I bought a laser hair removal package of 10 treatments. When I arrived for treatment #6 in November of 2023, after the management changed, I was told that the laser machine was broken, and they didn't know when it would be ready (gee, thanks for *not* phoning me to let me know!). After not hearing from them for a couple of months, I went back at the end of January to inquire. I was told that the machine was SOLD in the fall to another business, that Midnight Body couldn't afford to offer laser hair removal anymore, and that the other business was honoring anyone who bought a package under the previous management. I was given an email address for the business that bought the machine. When I asked why the woman I talked to in November told me that the machine was broken, I got a shrug and a blank stare. So, basically, I was lied to when I showed up for my appointment in November. When I tried to use the email address for the business that bought the machine, it bounced back. So, I phoned Midnight Body and talked to (I think) Michelle, who seemed very frustrated that the email address for the other business wasn't working. She took my name and phone number and PROMISED she would work it out and get back to me (she was VERY adamant that she wouldn't forget me). That was in January....I'm still waiting for that call and it's May. So basically, these people don't have a great business ethic at all, they're liars all around. I wouldn't go to them for any other service they offer. Perhaps they should realize that when they buy out a business, they automatically assume a customer base, and they should be prepared to honour their customers. I'm out 1/2 the money I paid for these treatments.

The first time... I…read morehadn't had my nails done for a while so I decided on coming to Midnight Body. They are one of the few places that do dip powder in Brantford. I was serviced by Rose who took special care to do my nails exactly how I wanted them. Total time was longer than expected but you really can't rush perfection. The environment is nice and welcoming, I just loved their decor. They also had a lemongrass scented diffuser setting the mood, which was totally relaxing. I would definitely recommend Midnight Body and I will definitely be coming back The second time... I went in for a fill in two weeks after my initial visit, I was told I couldn't do fill ins for dip powder and that they would have to charge me a full set... whatever. Rose wasn't working so they assigned Davy to me. She filed down my nails but apparently not enough before she started laying more dip powder over them. My nails were uneven and I asked if she could shape them. She did, but they were still uneven. After asking twice I just gave up. I showed her a picture on how I wanted my nails coloured but she was unable to replicate it and she wasn't very good at hiding her irritation when I pointed out that it wasn't the same. It took two hours for her to finish her crap job and out of kindness more than anything else I tipped her 10% even though I really wasn't happy. The next morning, two of my nails snapped off. The following day I was able to be seen by Rose to fix just the two nails. They were done free of cost, which I appreciated, but it was still wasted time. Two days later three other nails started to lift off so again I asked if I could come in and have them fixed. Surprise! They gave me back to Davy. I was told that I should not be having this many problems this early and that they'd have her redo all of my nails for not doing it right the first time. But when I got there she only focused in on one and told me the other two weren't lifting off my nail, that's just how it is. I insisted so she finally redid the other two, but that's all she did. Also, while she was fixing my nails she was having a conversation with another nail tech about bringing in food to eat on their break. She apologized for not bringing in the food to share because she was "in a rush" to get to the salon on time to service her client because she doesn't like having her clients wait, but it didn't matter because her client was late anyway. I was five minutes late for detouring to pick up my daughter first. Thanks for indirectly complaining about me Davy! If any of my other five remaining nails start falling off I'm just going to have the entire set removed. If I ever go back I'm only requesting Rose, but more than likely I won't be returning.
