Got a different set of acrylic nails that were painted over with shellac not to mention that the shellac looks like a child painted on. Also, when I first got there when the nail tech was cutting off the tips, she proceeded to PEEL OFF the acrylic set of nails that I had on. Although I told her multiple times that it hurt, she continued to do it. I asked her if she normally peels off acrylic and she said "normally I would call and let you know to come 30 minutes early to have them soaked off." I arrived 10 to 15 minutes early to my appointment and did not receive such call. I lived in Huntsville in the past and was here in town for a meeting today and decided to get my dip powder nails redone. Steven was assigned to me. Currently, four of my fingers feel like they're on fire because he used the drill or file too roughly even after me telling him at least 5 times that it was hurting and these same fingers have scratches and will be scabbed over tomorrow. After he used the drill and file board, and the sides of my nails were beginning to BLEED, he put the file tip back in his container (old Altoids tin) and dipped my nails in the main powder jar... so basically my blood contaminated everything. These practices are NOT sanitary. If this is how everyone conducts their practices in this business, everything needs to be discarded. Never going back. Came for a pedicure and manicure both were bad. The last who did my pedicure was too rough and was pulling my sink to the point I was flinching in pain. I always get but she told me that the original $38 price was turning into $53 and I told her no. Next I went to get a full set, the guy basically told me he didn't want to be there and was ready to go home. He rushed my full set and made my nails completely short. I asked for design which he also rushed and it looked like a child drew it. For $68 I my nails should look almost perfect. They are also very unsanitary, while getting my pedicure a last sat next to me and the person doing my pedicure stuck her hands in her clean water while still working with my dirty water and shaving dead skin. The guy at the front desk sat another person next to me but saw the seat was dirty and still had a dirty towel and powder from either nails or dead skin. Usually have a good experience here but sad to say I will not be returning:( this was $60 when every other time I've been it's been significantly cheaper for just plain powder acrylic. I understand chrome or French tips are extra but for $15 or $20 extra they should definitely look better than this. She never cleaned off my nails properly or cleaned the hardened acrylic from underneath. After doing the chrome she did not clean it from the cuticles. NEVER GOING BACK!!!! Me and my sister went to get our nails done, here and they did a horrible job I usually just get black rounded and she did them very square which I hate and they look like they are already grown out and my sister got absolutely screwed over she had already had a set on that was different shades of blue and she went in wanting them to take them off and she wanted white but the girl doing her nails said she couldn't have white because they can't do white over blue because it would show through so she picked out a pink and the girl started on her nails with the color my sister picked out and she said it wouldn't work so she got a much brighter shade of pink and cut her nails very short and sanded them down slight then just got nail polish and painted over the blue and did a horrible job because you can clearly still see the blue and the pink is all over her hands. I hate leaving poor reviews and it is not often that I do (I looked and this is actually the first 1 star review that I've ever left out of 74 places reviewed) However, my fingers and legs are throbbing with pain 10 hours after my mani/pedi today. It was the most painful experience at a nail salon. She kept a paper towel next to her to just dab the blood from my fingers. My calf is actually beginning to bruise from the leg massage as well. I was wincing in pain as she buffed my nails, buffing over my skin repeatedly to the point of bleeding, and she just yanked my hand closer even though I was pulling away and politely trying to reiterate that I was in pain. This is a place I will never go back to and I rarely rarely say that about any place. The manicure was extremely sloppy as well as shown in the pictures. I don't want to mention the name of the employee, as I don't want to be disrespectful to her or affect her in a negative way. However, I am very upset about the experience I had. read more

Worst. Nail Salon. I have EVER. Experienced. I asked for a full set, black coffin nails with a spider web on each ring finger for Halloween coming up. Let me just start from the beginning. I just moved to Huntsville so this was my nail salon I've been to while living here. First came measuring the plastic tips to my actual nail. They went over the sides of my nail which I wasn't too worried about because filing could fix that. When he began filing, he wasn't gentle AT ALL. It hurt so bad that I thought my nail was about to pop off. Which again, I ignored it because it wasn't the first time filing for coffin had hurt on me. After that came the monomer and powder... TERRIBLE. There's no way for me to politely say it. The acrylic was runny and stringy. Usually it's a stiff, moveable bead. He didn't even try. The whole time my nails were thick, and round. They had lumps and a bunch of acrylic underneath my nail from him attempting to smooth it out. Once again, I didn't say anything. Giving him the benefit of the doubt. He took forever to file everything down and even then I had to constantly point out what was wrong with nails. At this point I could probably do it myself. When it came to the spiderweb I wish I would've taken a picture. The lines didn't even connect and when he asked if it looked good, I told him no and to take it off. At this point I was mad, I told him I didn't like my nails at all. He STILL had acrylic UNDER MY NAIL. He said he would fix it and began filing the acrylic AGAIN. Afterwards, Nancy came over and did my spiderweb. It was way better than his but even now it looks like it was rushed. She didn't give me a discount or anything for how unpleasant my experience was. I tried it, and was not satisfied at all with my French manicure. They looked awful. Plus the lady cut my finger and it bled for 2 days! I went back a few days later for the dip and decided to go with pink. The manager did the set for me since my nails were so messed up the last time. He cut my finger also. Every nail is thick, uneven, and the powder needed mixing. It had weak white spots in the color. He took $7 off the price for accidentally cutting my finger. This was kind of him. I went here to get my acrylics taken off and this the nicest people ever. They took off my nails very carefully, cut, filed, and put on nail repair for me. I've gotten my nails taken off at plenty salons before but none has ever shaped my nails for me and put on nail repair for me, which I was very thankful for. First of all I arrived at 3:20pm for my 3:30pm nail appointment. I had a very lengthy wait time of an hour and that alone was super frustrating. However the wait was the least of my worries, I told the nail tech exactly how I wanted my nails and nothing I said was given to me. Every time I tried to tell her something she wouldn't listen and proceeded to tell me "no these are cute" so she didn't fix them. Now I'm not sure if it was the fact that I had more than one tech, they passed me around like a hot potato, but I just felt very invaluable as a client and I felt also that my wants and opinions were irrelevant to them. At the end of the day I did not like my nails. I told them several times during the appointment and at the register but they still made me pay for them. I'm very upset with the service received here. Update: The basic gel shellac did chip on me after almost exactly one week, HOWEVER, I am a lot more rough on my hands and nails than most people (cooking, CrossFit gym, weight lifting, always washing hands, etc) so that does play a factor. I still believe it's decent quality for the price just definitely don't do anything crazy with your hands and nails and keep them moisturized and maintained! I gave Tango a chance- after seeing so many mixed reviews I wasn't sure but they did a great job for the price, I'm very pleased with the outcome! Definitely worth it if you're going in for something very simple like shellac or acrylics. Visited this salon about a week ago for the first time, and never have I been so unhappy. To begin with I got a shellac manicure. The guy doing my shellac did not get the sides of my nails and once he was done it looked like I had lines in my nails where the polish didn't cover completely. Not smooth and one nail felt rough. So at this point I decided okay Ill let this go. Not even a week later and my nails are falling apart. Shellac generally lasts two weeks for me and I'm not even a full week in and they look like complete crap. Now I am frustrated. I also got a pedicure, left with my heels and feet still feeling rough. The polish job was semi okay, I've had better but was super unhappy about my rough feet because that's why I paid extra for the add on stuff. If you want somewhere that will do a half job then this is the place for you. My nails usually come out decent when I come here but today was a different story. The man who gave me my refill didn't let me pick a color, he just chose a polish and began painting over my acrylic. He did not shave the nails down like you would a refill so they're very lumpy. The paint has already began to chip. I asked for him to put the crystal gems on my nails. Instead of saying he didn't know how to put them on, he used nail glue to stick them. The nail glue only works on buffed areas so the gems fell off as soon as I got home. The nail glue also turned white once exposed to water so now there's white glue stains on my nails. My nails do not look good at all so I will have to go somewhere else to get them completely redone. I was also charged more than the price of a full set, so I might as well have gotten a full set than a failed refill. read more

All of a sudden they now charge to take off nails. As if it really is that much for them to maintain the supply costs. Bad customer service. They'd rather your eyelashes fall out than help you maintain them so don't get lash extensions here. They are rude and you'll find different nail artists charging different prices so obviously inconsistent and really just money hungry. Only good thing is how they're clean. The nails don't last. They had one good person Anne and let her go. No longer will i go here. also i make appointments for the few times I've been here since Anne has left and I have to wait for over an hour past my appointment and never offered a coupon or anything for my delayed service. She also put a clear coat on my nails w out me washing them so they have bubbles underneath. Just crappy careless service. And they don't offer student discounts. Like us students are made of money. So I went to tango nails about a year ago because I had my ring ceremony and I wanted some shellac done. The guy did great! I come back this time, I'm braving the negative reviews and I come in for an appointment for dip nails. I was told that Jenny was the best, but she was all booked and I was in a rush. They gave me Steven and it was scary, but he really surprised me! He let me take my time with picking a color I really liked and even asked me what shape I like my nails cut in! Minus them being my real nails and those tend to get really short when I get a manicure (my nails are notorious for being uneven), this experience was easy and less painful than I thought it would be. Next time I go I'll definitely have longer nails or just use fake nails, I recommend the dip nails to those who want a longer lasting finish. read more

Mixed opinion for me. I went for a simple manicure and pedicure and there was a crowd but the wait was quite short witch was a plus. My nail tech was very friendly but the work was shotty at best. The pedicure I got black polish which was 10/10 but manicure I got just clear, and that was the most negative of the experience. Idk if the tech was rushing, but she half-ass cut my cuticles and put on one coat of top coat on my finger nails and said "All done." I walked in for a dip manicure with tips. I only had to wait about 10 minutes, which was good. I was told the dip mani would cost $45. The salon has potential. I think it needs to be a bit more sanitary. The drill bits the man used on my nails he kept in an altoids tin. In fact, the first bit he used on me broke...for $45 I expected my cuticles to be cleaned up, but he just went straight into gluing the tips (the glue was on my skin on every finger) and doing the dip mani. The guy I had did a good job, he took his time to make my nails even in length and shape, however I do think he left them a bit thick.
