I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and patient support during a very…read moreserious medical situation involving my husband's upcoming colonoscopy after a positive Cologuard test. For weeks, I tried to reach the gastroenterology office with basic but important questions about bowel prep instructions and never received adequate guidance. We were also given conflicting or unclear information about the procedure and preparation. As the procedure approached, we were told we would need to pay a significant upfront amount (around 30%) before care could proceed, even though this is medically necessary follow-up after a cancer screening test. We were not offered clear help navigating financial assistance or patient advocacy, and it felt like the focus was on payment rather than ensuring timely medical care. I also learned through billing discussions that there may have been issues with how the procedure was coded, which could potentially impact insurance coverage. This added even more confusion and stress to an already urgent situation. What was most concerning was the lack of proactive communication and support when we clearly expressed distress and concern. Instead of helping us find solutions, we were met with a cancellation-type response due to inability to pay upfront. When dealing with a possible cancer-related diagnostic situation, patients should not feel ignored, confused, or unsupported. I hope the office improves communication, billing transparency, and patient advocacy moving forward.

Review based on the professionalism of the receptionist not doctor. My father had an appt today for…read more2:15, he shows up at 1:20 to do paper work. 1. The receptionist was VERY rude. They tell my father the doctor is late and can't make it and if we are ok with a Phys. Assistant. I have nothing against them, but my father did not wait TWO WEEKS to be seen by a PA. We all want the best for our parents. I was very upset granted that I'm a night shift nurse who was sleeping after a long shift! So I was pretty grumpy. I spoke to the rude receptionist and she offered me no help! Her options were to reschedule or be seen by the pa. She goes and tells me they're more than qualified. Lady I know they are, they went to school and passed their boards. But if it's your dad you'll want a doc assessing and taking care of your father. I just felt she didn't care and her attitude was just nasty. I know was a bit rash too, but you are a professional (supposedly), so learn how to be professional when you have an upset patient!!! Why couldn't they call me and tell me this instead of dropping the news to my father when he gets to the appt!! He had to leave work early to go to this appt, he's not a stay at home dad. In better news, the doctor made it maybe less than 10 minutes after this ordeal. Yeah that receptionist just gave us bad news and said he wasn't coming AT ALL, and then the doc shows up... so she needs to get her info straight. Update!! I realized it's the people in the main office that's catching attitude. Everyone else next door in the egd clinic are wonderful. Had to call today to see why my dad referral appt wasn't set up and the receptionist try to catch an attitude. Like I'm not calling about his egd results, I'm calling about a referral appt with s surgeon. I'm a nurse I know what I'm talking about when the gallbladder and esophagus are two separate organs. Lord. Help me
