Some argue that things aren't fun anymore. There are lots of fun things to commemorate and celebrate in 2026. May the Fourth Be With You is highly celebrated on May 4 and Mel Brooks who did the Star Wars movie spoof Space Balls turns 100 years in June. Godiva Chocolatier turns 100 years this year. America turns 250 year old in July and it's a celebration of a lifetime. There is a place in SF which feels like it's your birthday everyday. There are adult card drinking games and Legos. This place also is a good place to pick up that toy gift. This is a place to curate fun and the store is located in Pacific Heights in San Francisco and it's called Just for Fun. On May stroll through Pacific Heights I landed on Fillmore street. Inside feels like everyday is Christmas. There are four Just for Fun stores around San Francisco and this is my favorite one. There are many fun games you can take at a party or local park to play like MahJong. They also have one of my favorite drinking card game like Don't Drink & Draw and other fun interactive adult game Pictionary for Adults Only. Just for fun carries Legos so you can also build sun flowers and a tulip bouquet . They also have a variety of board games available. Come to Just Fun to have some fun. Go on a May stroll with Don Juan and come "along" play Super Mario Chess without the chess piece of "Donkey Kong "and go back and forth on the chessboard like a game of pickle ball or "ping pong" then after that chess game play a game of " Mahjong " Fun things you can "generate "and inside Just for Fun the store they have items that are fun and at a gathering you can" incorporate" and on July 4 you can go to a park to party and "celebrate" 250 years of America we should all "commemorate"

From their website, I see that Just for Fun has 3 locations in SF, one in Noe Valley, one on Union St and this one on Fillmore. Lots of great toys for the kids and kids-at-heart. Also art supplies. Last time we visited, we browsed and brought some watercolor pencil combo. Can't wait to make some art. Haven't been doing that for a while and is a bit rusty. 2025 is the year of Snake. According to the internet, Snakes are often associated with wisdom, transformation, intuition, and rebirth. And it's said that this is a year for self-reflection, letting go of old patterns, and embracing personal development, so there we go. Art projects on the horizon Service friendly. They seemed to disappear since they moved, but I just found their website, and it's so much better than it used to be. I'll admit, in the old days, I loved all the campy propaganda stuff....the little Red Book, the peasant posters etc., but they've updated themselves. I just found all these cool Chinese comic books (did you know that there were comics in China--I didn't!) and they still have those cool posters. Apparently they don't have a store anymore, just the website.

Thrillhouse Records is a must visit if you're in the area and a fan of records!…read more My fiancé and I were in the area after having brunch and not in a hurry to leave San Francisco just yet.. I looked around the neighborhood on maps and found out this place existed. My fiancé is a big fan of vinyl records and is always looking to add to his collection so I figured this would be a good place to bring him.. and it was. Parking is all along the streets and you can probably get away with parking at the Safeway nearby if you're quick about it. The inside is fantastic - I've been in record stores before where everything is everywhere and not properly labeled, but Thrillhouse has sections labeled to help aid in your search for whatever it is you're looking for and I appreciate it. My fiancé bought two records and he's a happy camper.

This is a huge trading bargain store. It's never ending!…read moreYou can find anything here. From toilet paper, tooth brush, bowls, tumbler, pencils, light bulb, lighter, underwear, luggage, toys, chairs, incenses, etc. It's actually overwhelming. It's like Costco, you lose sense of time in there. They had a sister store across the street but they closed it down and combined every thing here now. Came in here looking for bowls to replace our old ones, as some of them have chips on them. My mom didn't like any of them. And their price is high. Found the same bowls for $2 cheaper around the corner. I remember coming here when I was a little girl with my dad, he would purchase a toy for me each time we visit. Ofc I don't have them anymore. But I would play with them until they die on me or it breaks. I also bought a red mini broom/dust pan set for $10.99 few years back. It works so well! Light weight and sturdy. Used it at my work because the brooms we had there was extremely heavy. They have some value bargains definitively worth your buck. Instead of paying $5 for superglue, it's $2.49. Like most shops, they do not accept returns. Exchanges only. It's family own like most shops in CT, they're all really nice. I think the daughter in law runs the cashier, she speaks English and Chinese.

I'm so proud of SarangHello…read more Since 2020, SarangHello has grown tremendously from a small storefront to several times the original location at the new 2050 Taraval Street location. The staff has grown from three members to many recognizable faces that frequently show up in person, at events, and on their social media videos. The selection has also blossomed into so many items, with options to do exclusive pre-order items and benefits, light sticks for concerts, custom-made SH merchandise, albums, and pretty much everything else. Yelp Pro Tip: You can unlock a 10%(!!!) discount if you sign up for SH email listing and get information on the latest releases, events, and content. What stands out even more is SarangHello's impact to the San Francisco and Bay Area communities. They constantly are partners at events and organizations and are truly building a community where us K-Pop lovers and fans can meet, engage, and be a part of the community. They also promote trading events and have an area within the store where we can just hang out. They also expanded their hours to 11am-6pm on weekends and 1pm-6pm Mondays through Fridays. Always putting customers first and delivering value to the community and the products that are sold.
