Today, an attendant at the Q8 gas station near Florence airport was so extraordinary kind; it melted my heart and made me resolve to be nicer to tourists in my own home town. We had filled up the rental car and were on our way to return it except we got lost. Round and round we went in confusion until I began worrying the car wouldn't be full anymore. Then we found ourselves back at Q8. Half embarrassed and all frustrated, I asked the attendant where the car rental kiosks were. He gave me an excellent map they had made for this very purpose to help people just like us. Imagine someone went through the trouble of making these custom maps showing drivers how to get from the gas station to the car rental return! It's not like tourists returning rental cars and flying out are highly likely to return to the station. Is this excellent service or altruism?

Their automatic pay machine ate 10 Euros. No one around to talk to. Early closing time. No customer…read moreservice number to call. Out 10 euro thanks to these guys. Also as an aside for all European stations you might want to consider labeling your pumps differently. Green handle means diesel in the states. And diesel doesn't mean gasoline. One of those I wish I knew before going kind of things.

Buongiorno, While in Italy last month, got gas at a Q8 Easy…read more I only had a 50 Euro note and when I filled up I had about 20 Euro balance. The pump did not give change, but another person said no problem there are Q8 Easys every where. Well, they don't tell you that they are independent and when you have a balance at one you can ONLY use it at that one, BUT wait you can use PAYPAL....? Longer story short, my balance was never used and emailing the company over 1 month ago they have selectively IGNORED me. And so perhaps they will lose more than the 20 Euros they have kept from because of their POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE or ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. The actual Q8 not so EASY is in the Pisa area but they all are run the same way.
