I was told Dr. Payton would be filling in for his father, I went to the chiropractor because two years prior I had a minor scapular tear that did not need surgery and with my work and going to the gym I have built a lot of muscle and repaired the minor tear in my shoulder but with building muscle and losing muscle I felt some tightness in my back and shoulder areas so I went to the chiropractor to get adjusted an decompressed. I am a 35-year-old male 6'2" have been an athlete my whole life an my job is very physical so I carry a lot of muscle naturally, I was kind of weary because I picked this chiropractor because of his experience and ratings even though I went against my judgment I allowed Dr. Peyton (less experienced son) to do my intake he recommended that we did a small adjustment to get to the point he tried to crack my neck by violently wiping my neck three times in the same direction which did not feel good he persisted that its normal and the following days later I went to my doctor due to pain and he told me I had a herniated disc torn muscles which was causing numbness in my left arm I have some of the best healthcare money can buy and because of my age multiple doctors said that it would heal over time with rest. But this adjustment left me rolling around in pain in bed for 4 months, having to do neck decompression stretch's an neck workouts an ultimately having to start rehabilitation all over again.
