We are staying nearby and looked here for sushi recommendations, Tamashi was the highest reviewed in our neighborhood. The other reviews here are old enough that I worried the restaurant had closed (it's open!) so I thought I'd add a new one.
We really enjoyed our experience at Tamashi. It has a nice atmosphere, although the menu font is a little small for how dim it is at night. We each chose one roll, one was the Syake Roll (hot), the other a tuna roll with avocado? (not sure) and spicy tuna on top. Amusingly, we each preferred the roll the other chose. The warm Syake roll was amazing to me, I feel like I'll have to come back before we leave to get more of it. We also ordered 2 starters, aros calamari and sopa tamashi. The soup was substantial and could easily be a meal. The calamari was lightly, perfectly fried. My lime margarita was cold, but not a frozen margarita (I like both), and its flavor was the best I've had in a very long time. read more
