As I do household project, I somehow seem to accumulate refuge unsuitable for the dumpster... so what does a condo commando do with paint cans and other hazardous products? When I lived in NC, I had a place close to home for drop-off but no so much here. But wait, as I drive by the City of Tamarac building on Pine Island, I see an announcement on the electronic sign with hazardous drop-off on the upcoming Saturday. Yay, finally, I can get this out of my front hall. I expected to drive up to a line but was so pleasantly surprised. As I pull-up, there is a city employee at the gate checking ID for residency and directing us in. There was only one car in front of me so I pulled right up to the drop-off line and was immediately approached by another city employee. I told him what I had and he opened the car door, removed the paint and thanked me for bringing it in. This was the easiest and quickest waste drop-off I've ever experience.
